I'm intrigued. I just hope the back of that tuck isn't misleading when it comes to the actual back design.

Spirograph!
But cereally, folks, I agree: if the backs resemble the back of the tuck box, I'm with MagikFingerz in the intrigued camp.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
The back design looks cool, but Im not sure about it if it is borderless. If it has nice thin borders, then I'm all in.
Also the bits at the side remind me of the Ogma, hopefully with much thinner borders

I really don't get why you would want borders on that, fans would look awesome with those swirls!JokerzGamez wrote:The back design looks cool, but Im not sure about it if it is borderless. If it has nice thin borders, then I'm all in.

Is anyone else getting an "inspired by Tendril" vibe?

I'm the only one not thrilled yet.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
Like many recent deck designs, this looks very photoshoppy to me. Taming back all the gradients might result in a stronger design.

There it is! That's why I'm not intrigued, it looks like something we all seen before. This can be a good deck though, the front is cool but not the back.Encarded wrote:this looks very photoshoppy to me.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
Arcco courts is not custom courts. Just a colour change is not equals to custom. My interest in the deck has waned.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
The queen looks decent. I think the back would look better without the designs in the upper left, lower right corners. Just the big circle effect is enough.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
There seem to be more and more decks being produced, so I'm having to be more selective when pledging. I don't think this'll make the cut...

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
That's probably why the Civil War deck isn't completely funded yet, too many decks out but Steampunk Pirates did great within 3 days. I want the Tinker deck to be over $20,000. Meridian deck may be good but I want more than color changes in normal decks.montecarlojoe wrote:There seem to be more and more decks being produced, so I'm having to be more selective when pledging. Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
I'm in for a single early bird for now, but I have two issues:
- 1 deck int shipping; $6 - 2 deck int shipping; $12? That's not right.
- I don't see any way to add on regular decks, hopefully they just forgot.
I would also like to see the indices made smaller and closer to the edge of the card (yes, this is my obligatory "thin borders" comment, only for the faces ).

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
FYI, Noel just PM'd that int'l shipping for 2 decks should have been $8.MagikFingerz wrote:I'm in for a single early bird for now, but I have two issues:

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Coming soon to Kickstarter
I agree with this. The design reminds me of early flash games, when everyone just discovered the gradient tool but had no idea how to use it properly. A visually horrible time in historyEncarded wrote:Like many recent deck designs, this looks very photoshoppy to me. Taming back all the gradients might result in a stronger design.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
Looks awesome! Yet another brilliantly designed deck from Noel. Not too sure about the lack of creativity in the jokers, but that's seems to be a tradition with Noel's decks and it isn't noticed because the rest of the deck is so cool.
This may be the very first KS project I will back

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
I'm sorry, but in my opinion, this deck is pretty dull. With respect to the opinions of those who like it, there's just something about it that hits me wrong. Maybe it's the Photoshop-like look to it, but there isn't really anything about it that appeals to me. That doesn't happen for me a lot outside of Cthulu decks, which I have grown VERY tired of seeing.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
I got an early bird deck but it's possible I could cancel it. I want to see more cards. Noel is great with his KS projects but they're becoming too repetitive.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
I like the backs; as someone else pointed out, there's a Sean Whelan-esque feel to the design that I like. But the courts, despite their appealing color scheme, aren't moving me.

I'm thinking the community at large is agreeing with you - funding for his decks has been getting weaker with each successive deck.Bikefanatic wrote:I got an early bird deck but it's possible I could cancel it. Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
Well I don't know what Noel's problem is, but I guess he didn't like the comment I posted on his update as he was adamant that I cancel my pledge so I did, it's going to fail anyway in my opinion. Sorry but i'm tired of these "limited" box colors he keeps introducing in every project. If you can't get the cards funded as is what good are those limited boxes. If anything they just should a stretch goal.

Re: Bicycle Meridian - Now live on Kickstarter
I would have been much more supportive if he was better with backer/customer relations. I sent him a message about the high INT shipping for 2 decks and the lack of an add-on option for regular decks. The first he answered with "yes, you're right, it should be $8" yet nothing has been done about it. The second he didn't even mention in his reply.
I even saw there was an open 2 deck early bird (probably vmagic's), but I didn't bother. I'll keep my single early bird for the neatness of the deck, but that's it. Doesn't look like it will succeed anyway. Oh well.
