EDIT: The KS pre-launch page is live, could I be cheeky and ask you to please go in and click the 'notify me on launch' button...? Every bit of help I can get to help spread the word is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Hello there everyone, hope you're all having a good day.

Here, in the North of Ireland it is grey, wet, windy and cold.... typical :D

I have been collecting playing cards and Jokers for yeeeeeers, and I've got a website reviewing my favourite decks (www.icollectplayingcards.com) but I'm finally excited to say that I am pretty much ready to launch my own first ever deck on Kickstarter. At least, I will be in the coming weeks. I'm gathering up as much info and advice as I can get before launch. I've bought an ebook that has loads of great reviews, so I'm going to get stuck into that and hope it helps me prepare myself for launch.

I've designed a deck based on the ancient Gaelic Games of Ireland - Hurling, Camogie (the female version of Hurling, like softball is to baseball), Gaelic Football, and Ladies Gaelic Football. Each sport is assigned a suit and I've showcased the all-time top 13 Irish Counties in each sport, with the Aces being the best of the best in that sport.

My other website www.onegaelic.com is where I sell t-shirts and hoodies that I've designed based on these Gaelic sports. I plan on having t-shirts and hoodies as 'add-ons' within my campaign. That's the plan anyway :D

I've written a 'preview' of the deck on my website www.icollectplayingcards.com

Here is the link for anyone interested:

Here are some mock-up images of the deck. I've sent for a prototype deck from MPC so I'm eagerly awaiting that coming in the post!!

I need to say that it's aimed primarily on supporters and players of the four main Gaelic sports, so it's probably not going to be popular with serious playing card collectors and that's fine. It's meant to be fun, colourful, informative, and playable, however I do appreciate any and all feedback on this deck.

Thanks for reading. All the very best :)

Not everyone here speaks English as a first language -- my best guess is DeepCard means "fun" :)
