The cat is out the bag, so I'll post also here - I'm planning a new Patreon deck, called Casino Paradiso, with
hotfoil on front and back of the cards.
This is a "spinoff" deck of my next big project, The Gentleman Thief (Kickstarter later in 2024).
I found a new technique for design foil on front so hopefully there will be more TWI decks with foil on front from now on.
I'm also focusing on produce more "new" decks for Patrons, I hope I'll be able to do it!
This will be included into Patreon 2024, not decided yet "when" since I usually wait to have the decks in the warehouse before taking decisions.
If Patrons are reading, you're free to share more details here if you want to

i do as well. i may not have been the only one but i have been bugging him to get back to putting characters on the tuck instead of just geometric designs. thank you! looks great.

I like that the Q looks like Geo doing 'classic style'. By that I mean she looks somewhat more like a standard court card - it is probably just the crown
As far as foils go - am I the only one on the forum who is not that fussed about foils?

When I went back to look, I think it's the center mirrored part that feels standard-esque to me without being standard at all. Nicely done.
I love foil of the hot variety, but if an artist told me something isn't possible, I'd be happy to know they at least tried and had a vision they wanted to achieve.

While I appreciate a lot of Gio's presence in the card scene, I still wish to see an evolution of his art style, which I'm not able to see unfortunately for years now. A pity, he's such an awesome dude and I love that he pushes the features of his decks. While others do the same same *yawn* holo gilding and holo foil for every deck regardless if it fits the theme or not, he puts thoughts into his feature selection.

First thing I thought of when I saw these was this:
viewtopic.php?p=230005
And in no way is that an insult. Looking forward to these, if they ever get released to non-patreons.

i feel like being compared to gemini is definitely an insult lol. that particular tuck inst too bad though. i suppose the colors are similar.
i can understand harvs comment. i can see the different styles on gio's deck but there is no mistaking a gio deck and you know it as soon as you see it. i feel like it is a matter of perspective on whether you see stagnant or consistent.

i get this as there are features that idgas about either. gilding and rarity being 2. foil is common on tucks and as gilding these days. however, foil is a bit more rare on the cards themselves and it does at a nice touch when done right imo.

Foiled backs and faces are a nice feature and so is gilding. They are nice but they don't add 10-20$ or more to the cost. I passed on the Fantasma extreme for that reason. That deck isn't even gilded but it would have doubled the cost of my pledge for the trio. S17 has his eb trios for EOTO Vol2 (including the gilded deck) for 45€. I think I will be focusing my collection on creators who aren't trying to sell gilded decks for 35$ or more on kickstarter. For my 2 cents, it's just not worth it.

To be fair, from the v1 campaign, gilding was 8 Euros extra, which is mighty close to $10

i can agree with this. i do not know how pricing works or how it may differ from print shop to print shop. it seems some creators can get things done at much lower prices than others. of course that is making the assumption that the difference in deck pricing is only different due to differences in cost for the same features.
gilding for example. some offer gilding for 5 or 6 bucks, while others increase price of a deck by $10 plus. there does seem to be quite a difference in deck prices even for an equal feature set.
we all place different weight on different features. personally, it just comes down to total price of the deck given features and art design. if i like it and it is reasonable, in my estimation, i buy it.

this is cost to produce? It looks like cost to customers, which would definitely have profit added. Regardless, that was then and this is now. Averaging 15€ per deck with one being a gilded deck with what looks like diff back design... much more within my realm of reasonable. Does anyone know if the decks will have diff faces amongst the 3?

i believe it said all the cards would be the same.
edit: from the campaign page ''Both decks include the same cards, but are housed in completely different tuckboxes.'' for the 2 lower versions. the extreme version is completely invisible unless under black light. it appears the art may be the same though.

I think there may be some crossed wires
in the last few posts S17 EOTOvol1 and possibly Vol2 have been referred to, TWI Phantasma revenant, and the original thread is about up unreleased deck.
Personally having seen gilded decks I just cant see a deck being "finished" without edge color of some kind any more.

Edge gilding for me doesn't make or break a great deck but for a luxury high cost deck I think it should have gilding.

Why are playing cards collectors acting like there's never been an inflation over the past few years? Hell we're even talking about going into recession last year.

Does Lorenzo usually offer reduced shipping rates to North America and parts of the EU ?

The higher (180 euro Deacon and up) pledges ship free to the US. for the rest I'll just copy from the FAQ
To ensure reliable tracking from origin to your doorstep, rewards are split into two main groups:
----GROUP A: small/medium packages in weight (under 2kg | 4.4lb gross)
• USA: Shipping with USPS.
• International: Shipped with Asendia, offering end-to-end tracking to specific countries only.
• Shipping fees are applied for both.
• EU-friendly means that the customs will not ask you VAT or import taxes if the order is under €150. Please read FAQ about EU friendly shipping.
List of countries with end-to-end tracking for Group A:
USA, EUROPEAN UNION, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom (includes Isle of Men), Iceland, Norway, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Türkiye, San Marino, Isle of Man, Serbia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong SAR, Japan, Brazil, Réunion, Israel, Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, South Korea, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, China.
----GROUP B: all other bundles.
• USA: Free shipping with USPS, UPS or FedEx (depends on size and weight).
• International: Exclusively shipped via FedEx worldwide: safe and fast.
----GROUP C: Add-ons
The add-ons have incorporated the shipping fee that compensates the weight increase of the package, therefore an added deck costs a little more than the one in a reward. No additional shipping fees for any of the add-ons.
Please note that some countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Iran, almost the whole African continent, and others, may not be serviced by FedEx. For countries like China with complex import procedures, consider using a forwarder with a US address for smoother delivery.
Charges applied by customs are not refundable.
Your satisfaction is our priority, and I aim to make the shipping process as straightforward as possible.
The fulfillment center will evaluate the best and safest way to ship out a parcel. If you picked the Early Bird Trio and added a lot of things, it might be shipped with FedEx. However, check the bundles because the prices are better and you get a better deal for the same amount of items.

Got my copper and gold decks and I'm pretty disappointed with the copper deck. I didn't count but like a third or about half the cards have some sort of crap/whitening spots on the faces. And a large chunk of the deck has whitening spots on the back.
For the pic of the backs, the top card is good. The others in the pic have weird whitening. The tuckboxes look bad inside too in the same spot. Both copper and gold. And the gold cards are all off-center. Not a lot but very noticeable.
I don't mind the centering so much but all the whitening cruddy looking spots on the fronts and backs and the inside tuck crap is disappointing to say the least. My gold deck looks like it was dropped on one corner. Every card has a little raised corner. Looks like poor quality wjpc printing and poor wjpc quality assurance. Did I get super unlucky or is this common?

I think you got a bad deck, I just looked at both of the ones I opened (from the "might be damaged") group and while I didnt look at every card I looked at the ones you took shots of and no white spots.

Both of the tuckboxes I got have same markings on the inside as yours. I found a couple tiny white spots, and the black areas on the cards look a little splotchy, but definitely nowhere near as bad as yours.
On the plus side, I really like the design of these, the foil looks great, and the cards handle really well for WJPC.

I really like the card backs but not the black background of the spot cards - I am not a patreon anyway

That’s the risk of full colored background on cards… you never know if poor cutting gotta create white chipped marks

Yikes, massive printing flaw. I just hope for WJPC that they didn't notice that. Because if they did and decided to still deliver, it would look really bad for their quality control and customer service.

I don't know how they DIDN'T notice it. It's quite visible and on a lot of cards. I understand missing a few cards, but it's nearly half the deck, front and back.
