I don't understand why Bicycle, Art of Play, Theory 11, et. al. are so cagey about pricing. I dont see how this benefits the hype/promotion of a new deck.

I agree. But I don't think this is the case here. I think Dave is just giving us a "sneak peek" and needs to wait until Bicycle sells them on their own website before he can price and sell them himself.
If I'm not mistaken, I think he (or some other reseller) got a slap on the wrist a few years back for leaking a new release before it was "officially" sold.

Thank you for clarifying. Wrong of me to lump this effort in with the others without having more information. I think with all the recent black friday teases w/o prices, this one made feel "enough already!" :-)

I thought this was done to prevent people from sitting on the (usually) inflated price and changing their mind on buying before release. I might change my mind too if I knew I was overpaying a week in advance, I’d have time to sleep on it and come to my senses

These tucks are the best looking but there's been a bunch of previous metalluxe decks. Not too excited until I see the faces.

I'm positive they will be completely standard.

I hate the tucks. They aren't very red or green. Need to be stronger colors. I wonder how bad the registration and bleed will be.

I thought they would be available through the normal channels by now but I guess not. Message the guy (Dave) in the OP on FB and he will sell them to you.

Who is Dave and what are his credentials? Why or how does he have a bunch of unreleased Bicycle decks on facebook?

He has run an eBay store for about one decade now and most certainly has a lot of friends in low places. I don't know the range of his contacts but he is pretty good at obtaining bicycle playing cards, especially ones released in Asia.

I have bought probably over 100 decks from Dave Hofmeister over the years and can vouch for him 100%. I get almost all my Bicycle decks from him. Never any issue with any of my orders and he ships very quickly with great packaging.

You can contact him at thatbicycleguy1@gmail.com

Ohh. I like me some Bicycle decks. Please share Dave Hofmeister name on eBay if you don’t mind.

Those colors look gorgeous, especially the magenta. I wonder what they're testing? USPCC has been printing metalluxe decks in a bunch of colors for a while now

I got pulled away for work for a couple hours and missed it. Ah well, it's not a huge loss. Henry may pop up with some shortly too.

Plenty on ebay heading towards the same price - saw a new ebayer selling a few at 119, which is at least 70 dollars more than I am willing to spring for it - really more of a bike fan item than mine, and there are plenty of those

He did, but USPCC's fulfilment center still fell short again. Henry posted on SoCal IG the extent of the damage on the tucks for the 10 decks he got. He even did a packing demo on IG! Sick burn there. Let's hope USPCC pays attention.

Most likely just a marketing move. "Prototype" seems more like a collectable item than a regular metalluxe Bike 🤷🏿‍♀️.

A shame to see how much they care for there own products, seeing how often they fxxk up shipping decks properly.
