Do I need to clarify with everyone that Alessandra = Jocu? I often see her mentioned as the artist but she is literally one of the two people that are Jocu it's our joint venture.

Those are two different statements Regardless I think it's nice to name the illustrator as well as company/brand

Absolutely! It's just on the Deck of the Year it suggests Jocu produced and hired Alessandra, whereas say for Jackson or Lorenzo it doesn't do that.

It's just something I wanted to clarify in general as it happens a lot haha

As much as I would love more on the list I really don’t see how its possible to choose as is - the only question is how many are in the coin toss for the win at this point…

For me its in the neighborhood of a four way tie, (a three way tie at least, six at most ) - with the decks all being so different as to be incomparable - from several of my favorite artists…

ngl, I think Jocu could take deck and artist oty. They on fire as of late.

If there was Tuck of the year, it would have to be Sardines in my book, I am tempted to buy the deck even though it is really only the tuck that I love.

How could Jackson Robinson's Two Towers deck even get nominated for Deck of the Year?

Decks have to be released between July 2022 and June 2023. Although the Kickstarter was in April, the decks didn't come out before July. So I don't even think it was even eligible to nominated, and yet it made the list.

Did the nomination committee just blunder here, or am I missing something?

I have to say if I had to pick one I would be picking Eye of Kukulkan and not only because it’s extremely beautiful but because I had low expectations and it blew me away.

They likely meant Vol. 1 (Fellowship) -- I've been hunting this down, watch for an update

Turns out Two Towers is not eligible -- those who voted for it for DOTY are being contacted

I think they came up with a great list of nominees for both awards.

Out of the list of the Deck of the Year, my choice will I am sure be in the minority. It is not from one of the more notable artists, but it is my favorite. My choice for Artist of the Year is definitely a more known artist here.

My congratulations to all of the nominees. All of the listed decks and artists are awesome and deserve the recognition.

Where do we vote? I didn't see an email from them, and I just checked on the website and I didn't see a place where I could vote. Actually, I checked my profile, and it has a dead email of mine. I can't seem to edit it either. I guess I can message them...

Yep, that person likes to make disparaging unnecessary comments, which is why I have them blocked. Unfortunately blocking people still doesn't stop heir stuff from being quoted and seen but at least I see a lot less toxicity this way.

I personally didn't think that Wake's comment needed or asked for a response, they were simply expressing a feeling of disappointment.

The response was to a question (like that thing with a question mark at the end of the sentence) from Paul. Seems unecessary to mention but I see that some have troubles with following a line of events.
