So I’m looking to buy

Also I’m still looking for
Dondorf restoration pair
Oath Standard Gold on Gold

Thank you

Gee, thanks man.
It's not a bad offer either for being ebay, problem is I have all the other Venexiana already so I'm debating if it's worth it anyway or not.
Also I'm drooling over the chance of getting the Damask set so I dunno really.
j.

I would say it's bordering on false advertising by the lister to refer to this as a complete set without the signature editions.

I agree.

It might be false advertising but Gold and Grotesque; what a cool name!

I'm referring to the eBay listing, not the title of this post.

Would you then say it's not complete if it doesn't have the UC variant? I guess it depends on what would define complete. This would at least give you one of each different deck of cards.
Looks like this is a listing reselling the decks won from the auction with the printing plates here:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Venexiana-G ... 4871787237

No, if this set included the signature editions I would call it complete. I define a deck as a tuck box and the cards inside it. Signing the tuck box, putting a different sticker on it, or adding any other types of window dressing on top of that doesn't make it a new unique deck in my books.

No, completely 100% disagree. Most people don't even know the signature editions exist, and they're so rare they're unobtainable, they are not realistically part of the Venexiana set. Maybe having written one of the first Lotrek fill guides, a pricing guide, as well as being a supporter/fan since his very first KS project and having one of the most complete collections (according to my own rules) doesn't hold much sway, but I consider the signature editions as separate entities as I think any reasonable person would, and as something like the Heretic Gran Riserva's are treated.

I suppose here is an example where "complete" can be subjective depending on the criteria used.

Some bizarre points here. I would think anyone looking to spend $900+ on a Venexiana Gold would be aware of the existence of the signature editions, not that that even matters since the completeness of a set isn't dependent on whether someone is aware of which decks exist or not. I have seen a number of signature editions change hands over that last year, not that that matters either since the completeness of a set is also not dependent on the ease with which the decks can be obtained. The number of decks that you personally own has nothing to do with the validity (or lack thereof) of your points. The Heretic Gran Riservas have the same tuck boxes as the standard editions while the signature Venexiana decks have unique tuck boxes, so the two are not at all comparable; I would think any reasonable person could see that.

I say "Pa tay toe" She says "Po tay toe" I say "Ta may toe" he says "Tommy toe"
I have to side with Veil, As long as the tuck or cards are unique its a different deck. But I don't consider signature, reserve or private reserve with signatures, stickers, stamps or numbered/non-numbered changes different decks. They may be considered variants but not different decks. I tend to steer clear of those, but some addictions
are hard to curb. Just did a recent traded for Lorenzo's Heritic Reserve set with Stockholm 17 sticker.
I love how these posts go off the rails.
