i ran across this on KS today. there is no info and only one picture shown but i am really drawn to these illustrations. it looks quirky and fun. i hope these get launched.
does anyone have any info on these?
this artist does have an instagram under balagan.y. some cute comic style art but no info on the deck besides a link to the project. i shot them a message inviting them here. maybe they will show up and share!

Sold me. In for a pair.
It does always bother me a bit when the faces don’t fan evenly color wise (the different colored black/red courts and pip cards will surely make it look like a collage rather than a fan) but I have simply learned to stop fanning them and it bothers me less
Courts running off the bottom and the extra pip in the corners, frame, etc - all working for me here. Art style carries it all for me.

I asked about the printer and they replied:
As for the printing house, I chose the Polish company Omega Druk. Coated paper with a weight of 350g, glossy dispersion varnish finish.
Not encouraging but I'm in for a pair nonetheless.

I like these, but the one thing that bugs me is the hearts/diamonds pips have a nice hand-drawn vibe but then the black pips both look like vector graphics and the OCD in me is have a fit. I wish I had the extra money to support this, but it is too pricey for this stateside collector.

Not enough to drive me out, but now that you mention it, yup - thats an odd choice - perhaps they can be talked into correcting that and making them all hand-drawn style…

Hello, I am very pleased that someone decided to mention my campaign. I am glad that you like the illustrations. It means a lot to me. I will gladly answer your questions if you have any. I also see that you are not convinced about the printing and finishing. Feel free to write what you would like to improve
[EDIT]
One more thing about shipping costs. I know that the current price estimates are very high and it frustrates me a lot, but I'm still working on making it cheaper. What I can say is that before the start of the campaign, the amount was €15. We managed to reduce this amount to €13 at the start of the campaign, and personally I would like to reach €10. Let's see what we can achieve

This is very close to funding!
There's also a cool deck slipcase for €15

A bit late to post these, they got held up at the post office for a while.
I'm not impressed with the printer, they are very thick (see comparison pic with standard Bicycles) and you can forget about fanning them. But I knew that would be the case going in. The art is very cute, and that's why I backed.

Yeah, these handle absolutely horribly, but the stock still feels kinda premium in hand. Obviously not a stock meant for playing cards specifically. The quality of the printing itself is excellent though. Great saturation, clarity, and depth of the colors. I love the art too. Glad I got these despite the handling

Love that wooden slip case but I wonder whether the card backs may also have looked better in brown (the brown used on one of the editions of Dan and Dave's Drifters) The courts and pips look good

I really like the artwork on this card. The quality as a playing card was pretty disappointing, as comments here, but I'm glad I bought it because it's probably not a deck I would care about the handling of.
But the registration was the worst of all the decks I have. This may be a very rare case because none of the comments here or on KS mention them.
It's a short card.
Other cards are not good either. (There are tolerable)
The creator wrote that she would like to make the borders thinner on the next one, and this printer (Omega Druk) I was worried, but the backer-only update said she was considering changing the printer to MPC.

Looking forward to it!

Wow, that registration isn't good. I can attest that at least mine didn't have that issue.

The six of Hearts card that I attached a photo of previously, which was shortened due to a failed cut, was in a box with #140 handwritten on the box.
I pledged Thornwood Village tier and this deck marked #140 was in a wooden box.
Today I opened the other two paper wrapped boxes.
These two boxes are not numbered.
And both boxes did not have Jack of Diamonds cards inside.
I know that sometimes cards are attached to each other. But these two boxes are definitely missing Jack of Diamonds.
If it was only in one box, I could assume that there was some kind of problem in the process of putting it in the box and it was lost, but how can it be a coincidence that the same card is missing from both boxes?
If anyone has this deck, could you please check to see if Jack of Diamonds is present?

Hmmm, Jack of Diamonds was in the box with the number on it.
When I contacted the creator about the failed cut card, I told her that shipping to Japan would be expensive and that I would just leave it as is, but other two decks are like this, it is a little tough.
When combined, though, it makes one decent deck.
