I think if they would make the Joker illustration in the same style as the court faces, this would be an absolute home run. As it is, just the word "Joker" on the Joker isn't quite... yeah. It falls just short.
I did manage to grab the Palm Isle, and I do like them a lot, but the next deck of theirs I grab will be the one that gets all the way there. The technology is great, and the design is very good... but only as far as it goes.

I don't necessarily mind the Joker font since it reminds me of Golden Rule from Lotrek, but I would love an illustrated Joker as well. It would be great if they had multiple options and let their backers vote for which ones they thought were best. Love when campaigns do that and let their backers influence the deck.

I asked them and it looks like this deck will have the matching jokers shown. Their next deck launching in August will have more traditional jokers. I guess we'll see what those look like.
This is now live. I'm in for both editions. I'm loved everything I've gotten from their campaigns so far and don't see any reason that won't be the same for this. I really like the design and think these are gonna look even better in person, much like their previous decks.
Would anyone be willing to add a holo edition to their pledge for me, please? I will, of course, cover the extra postage, plus the postage to the UK once the cards have been received.

As we let you know in our last update, we plan on shipping rewards shortly after the campaign funds reach our accounts. We will begin inspecting individual tuck boxes and prepping the decks for packing in the next day or two, and are excited for you to receive your wares.
So you're saying I still have hope even tho this series of decks on the website say "SOLD OUT" :O
I didn't realize they would put their newest decks all the way at the end. They're either truly sold out, or marked as sold out until they update the stock once all backers have their decks. Might be worth reaching out to them directly and asking as that would still save you more money rather than eBay secondhand prices.

Orrrr wait until October and wish that their newer deck will beat this one and I can move on w/o regrets lol
They had mentioned a deck releasing in August, so maybe they pushed it to October? I don't seem to regret not having backed this one, but I do regret not having bought Palm Isle. Curious to see what their next one will be like with more traditional jokers.

Are you looking for the purple ones? I have a spare open one that was used for photos only that I'd be willing to let go for really cheap. $15 plus shipping. They'll retail it at $40 usually for closed decks iirc. I can send you pics of the deck

Amazing deal. He definitely gets first dibs but if he passes, I'll take it.

Aww thank you for the offer <3 The price is really tempting but I'm just gunning for holo. My loss, but our buddy can take the steal
I've had the pleasure of seeing Palm Isle first-hand through a friend, but this is the first Pocket Aces deck that I now own (purple version). I have to admit, they did a fantastic job of creating a minimal and elegant deck suitable for play. I could actually use this to play games with friends. The gilding did have some damage, which I always get worried about when it comes to gildings. The cards don't stick and it handles just like a non-gilded deck would.
I'm really curious now how the holographic version looks, but the purple and gold definitely feel true to the Royals theme.

Why don't you get your own Palm Isle? Both versions, regular and gilded, are still available on their website. I waited and diligently check.. my Royals holo is coming soon! :")

I believe both are gilded, but one is gold and the other holographic. They're just too expensive for my taste. Some might find that ironic given what I spend on other artists, but even I have my limits, especially when they're decks printed in PRC. I don't think someone could go wrong buying these decks though. They leave me impressed.
Congrats on getting the holo Royals! Had a feeling they'd show up.
Holo Edition.
I like the dots between the pips. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it shine at a different angle than when the pips shine stronger.
Minimalist design? cards are not my favorite, but I like Pocket Ace's.
