The artwork is very good, the colors used look especially nice, but the proportions don't seem like standard playing card sizes. Will these be a bridge size or something more like tarot cards? That would be something new to me since every deck I've seen on ks has been standard poker sized cards.

This will be a tarot size deck. It's meant to be sort of like a prop to go with tabletop rpgs such as Dungeons and Dragons.

That will definitely hurt your sales from this community. Many of us here are, in addition to collectors, magicians and flourishers who prefer poker size cards. I would bet most of the collectors here also mainly collect, if not poker size, at least decks that are within the norms of standard playing cards (center pips on number cards and such).

That said, I'm sure most collectors have at least one deck that they bought solely for the artwork.

What are the dimension of the tarot card?

Even if I were to buy it solely for the artwork, I would at least like for it to fit on a display designed for standard poker sized cards.

2.75 x 4.75 inches

This is meant to be sort of an alternative to an artbook for me and is meant to be a display piece. If I make enough on my kickstarter, I may consider doing different sizes.

If there's no other reason for printing on tarot size other than having your artwork on a slightly bigger canvas, I'm pretty sure you would get more customers if you print on poker size.

So is the strech goal of $4500 ment to show that at $45oo you will be able to print the backs too or is it a place holder?

That's a placeholder, I'll flip the card when the halfway point is reached. Stretch goals include the art becoming creative commons and there being lore and stories written about the images on the cards.

Poker size v. Tarot size for comparison.

Congratulations, Kaitlynn, it looks like you've already crossed the minimum threshold to funding your project. Nicely done!

I like the artwork, but it just can't justify the $15 price point when it's not printed in poker size by the USPCC. Not to mention the additional $15 for international shipping, which might just be the most I've ever seen anyone charge for shipping a single deck!

I'll have it available afterwards for buying. I'll be putting it up as a poker deck as well if I reach $10k.
