Hoa Phan's been really versatile in his design style and prolific as well. (Is this the 4th deck project for 2022?)

This one gives me an early Agitcom vibe (see their excellent Golden Age decks on KS) Will be following this to see how it goes.

these seem like a pretty solid buy for $18 per deck if you get the set. i like the art for the deck and the courts being different for the 2 editions is definitely a good thing. i will likely buy both in that case instead of just one. i think i am partial to the courts and jokers of the blue edition. the metal plates are neat and are on both sides of the tuck. i could do with the oddly placed cutouts on the side of the tuck.

His stuff is really nice, but now I am playing catch up because I am late to to game on him. I was hoping he would have some of his older decks available as add ones. I contacted time and he was very nice. He did not have any older decks available for sale, nor does he have a website. Would anyone know where I can pick up any of his decks besides on eBay?

Thanks all for being a part of this project. I have some interesting plans ahead to make this deck more luxurious and one of the stretch goal i know all of you love it is "Gold foil the card backs", sound interesting? So let wait and see.
@james001a You will have a great change to get my previous decks via add-ons by next X-mas update.

Seems like this is not available anymore.
Just saw some pictures on Facebook that show the similarity between the court cards and some already available art.

Yikes. I had backed Botanical but I may not back future projects of his. Depends on if this was an isolated incident.

So the answer to the question “How quickly can a deck be thrown together after having to toss all the art for infringement?” is around two weeks…

Well reflected in the generic art feeling the courts give me.

First time was copyright infringement lol

I guess the second time backers are more hesitant when the first campaign was canceled due to copyright issues.

what's surprising was... using assets of popular IPs, and hoping he wouldn't get called out.

Dont bother again - the rerun got cancelled
Never seen a same project got cancelled twice - this is a smudge on his name to be put in the Blacklist

Maybe that was his plan all along with the rerun. The controversy from the first Kickstarter would drum up enough attention, therefore more pre-sales this time around. Collectors would love to own a deck with controversy involved, showing it to people layer saying "This is the deck where the artist stole other people's artwork, and I got an exclusive Kickstarter edition deck before it's cancelled for general public release!"
