It might be. The Joker deck is just a placeholder for now until we know the actual release. What I find interesting is that T11 says it's going to be their "biggest" release of the year. And that gets me thinking. They released LOTR and Harry Potter this year, right? So what would make a Batman/Joker deck release "bigger" than that? I'm wondering if they're releasing multiple decks, maybe a Batman and Joker deck. Or some other kind of "set."
The other option is that T11 could obviously just be doing the usual hype but it just seems like an odd choice of words to me. I guess time will tell.

I shot them a message on instagram (and messaged their support team from their website) asking if there was any way to order from your region - will let you know if they respond…

They responded:

Thanks for reaching out! Due to contractual agreements currently in place with Warner Brothers, we are sadly not able to ship Dark Knight Playing Cards to [your region]

This deck will be readily available everywhere soon, I am sure. It is an unlimited deck that will be as popular as the Star Wars decks, so there is no need to rush and get these.

You may want to check with Cardvo to see if they'll be able to bring this in to S'pore.

I got the Avengers deck, and I'll definitely be getting this.

They will have to do Man of Steel next.

They'll let 6-10 months go by and then release that version like they did with Star Wars Gold.

The Dark Knight Trilogy
The deck is based on DC's celebrated hero: Batman. Although there are many adaptations as of now, nothing beats the trilogy movie that is directed by Christopher Nolan: The Dark Knight Trilogy. It is known to be one of the best adaptations on the story of the vigilante working in the shadows of Gotham City. For the trilogy, Batman is played by Christian Bale.
  • Batman Begins (2005) = This is the origin story of how Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, starting from his very dark childhood, being trained by a mentor, and then becomes a vigilante in the crime infested city of Gotham. His first encounter with the villain is the Scarecrow.
  • The Dark Knight (2008) = The second story focused on Batman's fight against both supervillains that are terrorizing Gotham City: the psychopathic criminal mastermind Joker and deranged distric attorney Harvey Dent, known as Two-Face.
  • The Dark Knight Rises (2012) = The epic conclusion of the trilogy, this is how Batman ends his story with a blast: fighting against Bane, the most powerful villain and saves Gotham City for good.
The box design is fashioned to looked like Batman's body armor that he dons during his acts of vigilantism. The seal is a custom shaped silver foil bat symbol.

Characters and Props
The cards featured characters and props from the Dark Knight Trilogy.
  • Joker = The Joker, a psychopath criminal mastermind with a sadistic sense of humour. He wears the iconic purple and green suit, has a green dyed hair with his face painted white with a big red smile. He masterminds the criminal activities in Gotham City, and Batman had a hard time figuring out his motives. He would leave a Joker card on the crime scene as his signature.
    • Joker A = Bust illustration of the Joker with his iconic catchphrase "WHY SO SERIOUS?". You can find it as the red foiled text of the box's interior, along with the "HA HA HA"s in silver foil.
    • Joker B = The face of the Joker revealed from the shadows, holding up a Joker card with the Batman picture on it.
  • Aces = Props related to the dark vigilante of Gotham City
    • Ace of Spades = The mechanized large Spade pip with the Bat symbol. There are three banners: "A Silent Guardian" - "A Watchful Protector" - "The Dark Knight"
    • Ace of Diamonds = The Batpod, Batman's armed motorcycle - equipped with guns to shoot opponents while driving in style.
    • Ace of Clubs = The Batarang, Batman's style of throwing knives - can be used as the vigilante's calling card.
    • Ace of Hearts = Batmobile, Batman's heavily armored assault vehicle - shaped like a big car with layers of protective armor geared with many guns and missles.
  • Spades Courts
    • Jack of Spades = Ra's al Ghul, he is the leader of the League of Shadows, an evil organization. He is the mentor of teaching Bruce Wayne some martial arts in a prison in Bhutan. Bruce was part of the group until he learned that the group's intention is to destroy Gotham City.
    • Queen of Spades = Catwoman, she is the professional cat buglar, Selina Kyle. She would dons a catsuit made of black leather/latex, hence the title. She would crossed paths with Batman when she got caught stealing some items. She once seen breaking into Wayne Manor stealing a pearl necklace owned by Bruce's late mother.
    • King of Spades = Batman, the vigilante profile of Bruce Wayne, a billionaire with a dark past. He owns the Wayne Enterprises, a big company of his, along with a large mansion residence called Wayne Manor. His vigilante base of operation is the Bat Cave, a place hidden underneath the manor. He picks bat as his icon as to refer to the bats he encountered when he fell into a well.
  • Diamond Courts
    • Jack of Diamonds = Lucius Fox, he is the executive vice president of Wayne Enterprises. He is also the genius behind most of Batman's gadgets and vehicles.
    • Queen of Diamonds = Rachel Dawes, Bruce's childhood friend and love interest who is also the assistant of the district attorney of Gotham City.
    • King of Diamonds = Two-Face, he is the district attorney of Gotham City, Harvey Dent. The reason for his nickname is due to his scarred side due to an explosion he get caught in. He usually seen with a coin that he tosses to determine the side he will be: the Good or the Evil. His famous quote: "You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain". The only court in the deck with two different sides.
  • Clubs Courts
    • Jack of Clubs = James Gordon, he is the police commissioner of GCPD (Gotham City Police Department). He leads the police force of the corrupted city of Gotham, and he is against the corruption happening in the city. He usually the one who calls Batman through the Bat Signal, a large spotlight showing the bat symbol on the sky to call the vigilante for help.
    • Queen of Clubs = Talia al Ghul, she is the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, the leader of the Leagues of Shadows. She poses as Miranda Tate who tries to get close with Bruce until she reveals her true identity. She would swore vengeance of what Batman did to her father.
    • King of Clubs = Bane, he is the former member of the League of Shadows on a mission to destroy Gotham City. Although he intends to make Batman suffers. He is the strongest villain Batman ever encounter, and the villain is known for his signature move of breaking backs - as he did it to the bat vigilante.
  • Hearts Courts
    • Jack of Hearts = Alfred Pennyworth, he is the trusted butler of the Wayne family. After the death of both Bruce's parents, Alfred took care of him throughout his life. He is the vigilante's trusted advisor as well.
    • Queen of Hearts = Martha Wayne, she is the mother of Bruce Wayne. Sadly, she along with her husband (Bruce's father Thomas), were killed that fateful night, when they were seeing a play in the theathre and got mugged. The mugger shot Thomas and Martha dead, leaving Bruce to be an orphan and raised by the family's butler.
    • King of Hearts = The Scarecrow, he is the psychopharmacologist working as the Chief Administrator of Arkham Asylum, Dr. Jonathan Cran. He is known for this mask made of sack cloth, almost to looked like an actual scarecrow seen in farm fields. He plans to release a fear toxin across Gotham City to make people live in fear.

“ So sorry for the confusion here! Our Dark Knight deck comes with 52 cards + 2 jokers - advertisement cards are not guaranteed to be included and that does not in any way change the function or usability of the deck.”
The context of this reply was this:
I recently got the deck and opened them, only to find it just contains 52 standard cards and 2 Jokers - there are NO ad cards can be found. I have watched all of the available reviews in Youtube, and confirmed that is the case. HOWEVER, I saw someone with the deck HAS those two ad cards.

So I confuse: is this deck some kind of mystery pulls of who is lucky to get the deck with the ad cards?

In case anybody is wondering how the ad cards for the Dark Knight looked like, this is the photo of it (taken from a "lucky" collector)
20230122_191615.jpg

He bought this deck from Vanishing Inc., while I got mine from a wholeseller Murphys Magic (and I assume the rest got directly from Theory11 itself)

As boring as the rest of the TXI line-up... The truly lucky collector is me, because I got neither the version without the ad cards nor the version with.
