It's obvious a TON of work was put into these cards.

I have always been interested in the Red Fox series as their artwork is amazing, but the previous editions had 'personal' courts of friends, which I don't like and thus haven't purchased. I am really excited about this deck, though, and look forward to the campaign.

King of clubs alone makes it worth picking up this deck, haha.

I also don't like personalised courts. I find it both meaningless and a bit creepy.
I also have a thing about arbitrary courts that don't seem to have a hierarchy or connection to their JQK position. It ends up being a portfolio deck. Nice pictures but nothing to do with a deck of cards. Pass for me, but pretty cards nonetheless.

Is KoC moose (meese)? They look a little small. I do like the deck quite a bit.

King of clubs are beavers. I guess you mean the king of spades; which I'd say yes, there're supposed to depict two moose.

It looks like the red glasses can be worn to see a hidden picture. If the glasses are for something else such as a 3D effect, would you mind posting an image with or through the red filter?

Yes, that was my mistake. I had just read your post about the king of clubs and got confused. I have a mind like an iron sieve.

Nice to see RedFox really upping their game for their 3rd deck. Big jump from the 1st deck; so many lovely details in both fronts and back. From a marked deck to a full puzzle deck . Always good to see the growth of the designers from their 1st/early decks to their current deck.

Dang, I was hoping for a color variation or something I could go easy pass with. This is definitely nice..argh...my wallet.

Their past marked decks also included red glasses, meant to aid in seeing the markings until you are used to them
As noted below by red fox, this deck is not marked - see their post below for details

That makes sense. I didn't realize these were marked decks, but I couldn't "go to the movies." Thanks for the info

Our V1.0 and V2.0 were exactly that, marked decks that didn't "go to the movies." V1.1 was unmarked and the same design as 1.0 just different color. This particular deck is not marked, backs are all the same. There are many secrets throughout the deck though particularly on the faces of the cards for the puzzle aspect where the glasses will come in quite handy.

Just a public service announcement that this campaign ends in two days if you were waiting or on the fence.

Very cool pictures with the red filter. Must be fun to look for the secrets within the deck.

Those came out really nice. Really cool how he built a puzzle and took the red glasses decoder to another level. Will have to pick them up sometime as budget didn't allow it during the KS.

It's a married couple
Red Fox Playing Cards were designed and created by us, a husband and wife team in 2019 - using an idea that was hatched many years before. I, as an amateur magician and professional pilot, met my wife, the artist, in college in the year 2001, where we made great foosball partners. We married in 2006.
Currently, Ricki has given up her full-time high school math and science teaching position to homeschool our two children. She enjoys art projects and has done all of the artwork for the Red Fox Playing Cards.

... Unfortunately we will be taking a bit of a break from creating new decks as our wholesaler and shipping rates/fuel surcharges has left us a bit discouraged. The cheapest method to ship a single deck within our own country [Canada] is close to $23, plus cost of the deck, glasses, stickers and shipping supplies - after Kickstarter and Payment collection fees we actually lost money on some sales. We didn't know shipping and fuel surcharges would increase so much since the start of our campaign. Our wholesaler also purchased 60% less than our last campaigns which was a huge hit. We put a lot of time and effort into creating this deck from scratch and although once the dust settles we still made some money, our per hour profit basically equates to slave labor.
We are still happy that we created this successful campaign and have no regrets. We made a bit of money and have lots of stock left over. We have a product we are happy with, and it gives us joy to see people enjoy our cards. Although we got discouraged with our profit margins we are going to spend the next bit of time focusing on selling some of the card stock we have for all of our decks. We will still offer them online and will focus on private sales, and possibly local trade shows among some other ideas. Also feel free to support your local card shop and let's run Murphy's Magic out of our stock quickly.
