Market Manipulation Playing Cards - Live on KS on May 10th
Posted: Wed May 04, 2022 7:10 am
Hi friends! Hoping to do something appreciated, I would like to share our new project, coming to Kickstarter on May 10th: the Market Manipulation Initial Deck Offering. I am planning to launch at 5pm CET / 11am ET / 8am PT. Here the prelaunch link:

The project is a satirical take on the financial world in the 80s, built on greed and arrogance. There are two decks, the Bull edition (one-way figures) and the Bear edition (two-way figures). Both decks are double foiled and made by Boschiero & Newton, whereas the cards are made by Cartamundi on B9 stock.
All cards are custom illustrated and full of financial references. The suits represents the 4 division of a made up bank: Investment Banking, Trading, Sales and Quantitative Analysis. We went to great depth creating a back story for each of the court cards, which you can read (together with clear pics of the cards) on this microsite https://www.luneplayingcards.com/market ... ing-cards/.

The tucks are made with matt paper and double foiled. The Bull Edition is light green paper with petroleum green (dark green with blue-ish reflections, very pretty if I may) and gold; the Bear Edition will be made out of a dark pink matt paper with ruby and silver foil. I am sure of all the colors, except for the paper of the Bear Edition, for which I am going back and forth between two tones. The mockups I made of the Bear Edition, though, will be fairly similar to the final product. Here a link to the prototype video: https://youtube.com/shorts/JtFuafD82jM?feature=share
Any feedback is most appreciated! I'll be checking in in case someone has questions, or you can always hit me up on Instagram. Sharing some pictures of the prototypes shot by the extremely talented Ryan Smith (Except the video, which I took to show the reflections on the tuck). Oh, and for those of you that like them, you can find a giveaway running until May 8th on our Instagram page!
