Here’s a NFT project I’m working on. It’s inspired by the suicide king.

I created this to bring attention to mental illness and suicide. I can’t speak for anyone but myself… but I know I sometimes feel rejected and shunned. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone to talk to but there isn’t always people willing to listen. You’re more apt to get criticism or ignored.
The goal is to let people know that they’re not alone, even if it seems like they are alone. People from all walks of life suffer. That’s the symbolism.

Nothing against the art, and certainly there is a market out there for NFT’s - not sure its here though…

Agreed, the art is nice. But this could be a real deck and not a jpeg with a serial number.

I have seen plenty of NFT projects donating a percentage of money to one cause or another, seems like its pretty much a requirement to give some percent to the environment or a group in need. One thing I have found upsetting are the ones that claim to be doing it primarily to help a certain group, yet they only give the minority portion of sales and after market royalties to that group.

Not accusing you of doing the same, but rather asking the question - what is the breakdown of the profit vs altruism of this project?

So, I saw the title of this thread, and immediately started composing a Dr. Seuss-style poem extolling all the ways I would not touch an NFT (I would not feed them to a troll / I could not touch them with a pole / So, Sam I Am, I beg you please / Just stop it with these NFT's)

Then I saw the art, which is effing brilliant. (And funny and poignant and just all kinds of good in all kinds of ways)

And RJ's description of his project, which is a topic I care very much about.

Mental health is such a big deal these days, I can't even begin to get into it here why it's so important.

If you're wondering if RJ is legit, I've seen enough of his behavior to tell you that, in my opinion at least, he's the real deal.

So, while I continue to hold NFTs in general in low regard, I do sincerely hope this project leads in some way to something I can throw some money at to get something I can put on my wall or hold in my hands, because what I see so far really sings to me.

I’m still waiting on hearing the percentage breakdown of profit vs altruism - as my biggest beef with NFTs is that they try to come across like they are mother Theresa and the Red Cross while they really just want to take advantage of the quick pile of money that they can make with NFTs. Giving some portion to some cause is what they all do - and thats great - its the ones that claim that is the main reason they are doing it, yet they give away the smaller portion of the money, that bother the heck out of me.

NFTs are simply Not For The Harvonsgard.

This kind of art is pretty nice. And in the end, everyone is free to express their thoughts and talents in any way they want. Maybe someone is interested in investing money in someone else's new ideas. If you want to create your own NFT, there are many platforms to choose from, but you usually just need to fill in your NFT details, upload your digital art or file, and pay the minting fee. If you feel like selling your NFT, you can quickly put it on several NFT marketplaces and sell it. I hope your project reaches the top of the best nft drops

I think the artwork is great. I've had struggles with mental illness, so I'm completely a fan of your message. I take issue with NFTs and how distributed ledgers are currently configured. I won't bore anyone with details, but we would be contributing other crises to bring attention to the mental health crisis.

Honestly, as someone who lives in the Wild West I find NFT’s to live in a bit too wild a west for me. Even Mascofmendes post above, or more specifically the link to “top NFT’s” sets off my red flag alert.

I will have a friend of mine who is deep in that world check it out before making any declaration, other than to say that might quick check on the “submit your project” button there (to see if it was one of those pay to play sites) ended quickly, as the first thing that came up was this:

A2A827A8-8D9E-46E3-B2E9-C8A7FE72E3A0.jpeg

Which to me seems to point to it being a minor site, rather than a central hub - and since I have a friend to go down the vetting path I put the brakes on there - will post another update once he checks it out.

At the moment it does seem to me that the post was made entirely (or at least primarily) for the purpose of trying to promote that link (again, NFTs do get my suspicion aroused, so please take no offense if that link was an afterthought) - but I am pursuing vetting it.

Friend will vet it Friday or Saturday (he is delayed while he bitcoins his ape, or whatever it is NFT people do when they get busy), for the moment he has mentioned “Icy tools or Nansen are popular” for analysis

My friend got back to me, as he is quite experienced and trusted, and as the post above was from a new user with this being his only post I have removed the link from “best nft drops” - it seems to be promoting less than “best” projects and appears that it was linked here for promotion of the site itself rather than as a useful tool for the group. Should Mascomendes disagree they should reach out to me via PM to discuss.
