Hey guys,
Been a long time since I've posted something. Few months I believe so i apologize about that. It's been very stressful over here so I've taken a step back and honestly just been trying to relax.
I've have a precancerous condition called Barrett's Esophagus which comes from long term abuse of acid reflux. However for me, I skipped all of that and went right for worst case of it.
I recently had an endoscopy and results came back not so well : / It's not cancer yet but my doctors exact words: "it looked like world war 3 went off down there".
So since then I've been really watching what i eat and just taking care of myself in general. I'm not obese and don't have any other health issues but I've really changed my eating habits: Cut down from 4 cups of coffee a day down to only 1-2, cut out everything spicey etc etc. I even looked into herbal medicine to help me out so I've been taking what's called DGL (chewable licorice....no not the candy lol). Taste like it though but its basically the root of the plant and has been known to cure cases of severe acid reflux.
On top of that I've been looking for a full time job to get into my career which is Graphic Design. I had an interview on Thurs and I have a story to tell you guys haha. So for interviews I bring my tablet with various work samples so they can check out and I also bring my Bicycle Galvanic deck to showcase design, technique, package design and overall project ideas. Well this time the lady was so impressed I not only designed them but found out it was my project from start to finish. She originally thought Bicycle hired me to do the project through them. Although I take that as a compliment itself, they love to know it was my idea to begin with.
So after we talked I said I actually have a deck with me and she goes : o let me see!! She was ecstatic and found them so cool regardless what the idea behind them was. She was so fascinated that she actually called everyone who works with the design firm into the office so showcase them hahaha I was dying. I thought the interview went very well after that so hopefully I get a call back by monday : D
So yeah I've just been relaxing and also planning out my next deck which will be the Surge deck so I'm really excited about that. Been working on the short film associated with that so it'll come out along with the launch on Kickstarter. I'm looking at all the project and man it hasn't died down huh. So many decks are coming out its unbelievable.
You'll see me on hopefully a lot more but just wanted to explain where I've been. Love this community and you guys were the ones who helped me reach a life goal so just wanted to keep you informed. I'm still around!
Thanks,
Sean Whelan

Re: Busy Busy Busy!
Thanks guys for the support. Yeah it's no joke. At one point my esophagus shrunk down to 3mm wide where a normal throat is 18mm I believe. Yeah....crazy
I was choking on everything that went down. Even water believe it or not. It was like a funnel and had to relearn how to eat after a few surgeries. I never ever ever want to go through that again and that's why I really changed what I intake.
