Uzupis playing cards [Užupio kortos]
I got their first 2 decks and like them a lot.
I also pledged for this, but I don't know if I will keep my pledge, I am not so convinced on the tuck box and price seems a lot for one deck plus shipping

Re: Uzupis playing cards
Not sure why the suit is before the index on these, but I am a sucker for custom pips and as such still like the designs.
That said, I'm rather off KS these days unless something is super compelling and right now I'm not there on this one. I'll put the 48 notify on this one and see.

Re: Uzupis playing cards
I really enjoy the Vaivorykštė they did previously and I hope they continue to make some great cards. This design doesn't quite hit like the one before but it's a solid project. I hope it funds

Refreshing designs indeed. Unfortunately (or good by the pov of my wallet) not to my taste.

I am backing these. Not crazy about the back (or the tuck case), but I really like the court cards!

Re: Uzupis playing cards
i am on the verge of liking these for their novel design style despite having 2 elements which normally veer me away even when a deck has only one of the 2.
four color suits. as much as i dislike standard courts, four color suits just normally don't look right to me. while i wont say they work here, i will say they are less off putting because the rest of the design is so colorful.
the line separating the court halves. for me, this is just an indicator of an artist that is not a playing card designer. having the 2 halves of the courts merge together is one of those hallmarks of playing cards. when the halves are separated like this with a line or banner, not only is it sort of jarring but it also says to me the artist did not want to take the time or could not figure it out. i am no artist but i would say it is a puzzle that can be figured out in pretty much all cases especially after seeing some of Lorenzo's latest designs that even have legs popping out and can still merge the halves and make them look awesome.

Re: Uzupis playing cards
You probably already know this but you can be alerted when there are 48 hours remaining in a funding period. I use this quite often when I am unsure about backing something.

Re: Uzupis playing cards
i had forgotten about this even hitting the notify later. i wish the app did a push notification on my phone instead of an email that i likely wont see until days later. i do like the art on these for some reason. i dont care for the line separating the court halves but decided f it and got one anyway. hope it funds. thanks for the reminder.

Re: Uzupis playing cards [Užupio kortos]
I was going to ask what #uzupisbordercontrol means, then I've read the ad card. Seems to be a fun bunch in Lithuania, haha.
