great music and visuals. almost something you would see for a game or movie trailer. excellent quality. that being said, i rarely watch most playing card trailers. they do not sway me either way on buying a deck. unless making the trailer is also a passion, i would rather see the money or time spent on the deck itself. i cannot imagine that was a cheap trailer to make, if you didn't do it yourself for free with stock footage and music.talenrot_design wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 3:18 pmThank you that you see a potential on our project. This looks fantastic! I love the dual court cards and the artwork all around is superb. I imagine the tuck images are from a prototype. Do you plan to use embossing on the final version? It would be a shame to have a flat tuck with that amazing artwork!
Regarding the trailer: it is fantastic. I think there were a couple of spots where it took a bit too long to fade/dissolve from the stock footage to the card artwork, but it was a great trailer indeed.
Looking forward to this!

Yes the tuck box is a prototype. I guess we need to make a plan for embossed version of it cause we received a lot of messages from instagram for this issue. We was so focused on the design the characters and the art. Thanks of this great community we are learning everday something new.
About the video my wife maked it according to the music and vocal. But you are right but its our first project we need to learn.

Thank you for your feedback. We got also nice messages on instagram from people arround the world they liked our design. But 30-40% of it wants it like you with embossing. We will get in touch with Cartamundi on monday to talk ve about the possibility of it. My question to you on which area should we make the embossing on the talenrot letters, walls, eye, yellow stone?
Thank you very much and have a nice weekend.

Thank you so much Rousselle its a pleasure for us to read this from the admin of UnitedCardists.com. We will see that the embossing will possible on our tuck or not. But we spent really long time to design our characters we hope that collector lovers will see our effort and understand us even the embossing will not possible. Have a great day.

You're Welcome. It just adds a bit of depth and tactile enjoyment to see embossing on a deck. People will pay extra for that. The Deck Title (would look better if the font was bolder for embossing) in foil, the yellow stone (gold foil emboss)and that border would be a good start, but really most of the design elements would get a boost from it. Your artwork is jaw dropping. If you were looking for opinions, you came to the right place!talenrot_design wrote: ↑Sat Dec 11, 2021 6:46 pmThank you for your feedback. The most funniest thing is that im working as Project and Business development manager on the biggest hot stamping & cold foil manufacter in Germany. But im on the plastic department for automotive and consumer electronic. As i mentioned my wife and mom are the designers. They are only focused on the design its not easy to work together with two strong tallented womens and if they are your mom and wife its x2double harder but if we get succsess on this project our next project will be absouletly with nano or micro embosing with different new developed hot stampimg or cold foil. I will push my two queens of my life then they can create a design which is suitable for foil and embossing.

Similar to the folks above, amazing art work and design overall. It's clearly evident the amount of hard work gone into this. I'm also a "tuck-ist" per se so not a fan of plan tuck boxes. Some embossing with some foiling would be icing on the cake. Good luck.

Hi GandalfTheWite thank you for your nice words. I hope to get a positive answer from Cartamundi for embossing issue. Our biggest mistake was we shared our project with the community to late our first post on insta was 6 days before we got a lot of followers and likes on insta. But at the moment we have only 38 followers on Kickstarter but we will learn its our first baby on KickstarterGandalfTheWhite wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 1:50 pm Similar to the folks above, amazing art work and design overall. Do you or anyone know how can we raise the followers on Kickstarter ? Thank you all.

Well, tbh, I don't know any particular way to raise the followers but I guess, interacting with folks that are associated to playing cards will definitely help. For example, I really like Tyler and Steve at Deckin' Around i.e. https://www.instagram.com/deckinaround/ and their YouTube https://www.youtube.com/c/DeckinAround/featured. Both of these folks do great things for the playing card communities and they have a segment on their YouTube in which they showcase creators and have live sessions etc. You could reach out to them for starters.

Very nice design indeed. Dual courts are always a win for me, because I love getting more different artwork for me money. Back design is dope, too.
For reach I'd say make sure to be on different platforms, like r/playingcards on reddit.

Backed! Does anyone know ihey able to get embossing/foils on this deck? Either way it looks good, and I got it for the following reasons:
1) the art and 2) the creator, who could not have been nicer here on this forum!
I hope this smashes the funding goals.

Re: Printed by CARTAMUNDI: Live on Kickstarter Talenrot Playing Cards & 3D Pop-Up Art Book
oh boy! that shipping is something else! the art is great. the tuck looks awesome. having the seal separate from being on the deck is nearly worth the price of supporting alone. i really hate seals on decks unless they are the bottom of the tuck kind.
the price $16 is a bit high for no embossing or foil on the tuck, imo. $11 shipping is definitely crazy, compared to what i am used to seeing in the US. Making about $26 for the deck a decent amount more than i would normally pay for this deck. I am leaning towards buying for the art and the 2 seals separate from the deck but still need to thin about it a bit. yes... i am cheap lol. prices have been going up some lately and having a hard time adjusting from a $15 deck having all the tuck bells and whistles at least.

I agree i.e. $26 for one deck shipped to US is bit high for me (plus just flat/matte tuck box). Love the art and the creative idea behind the seal. Good luck and I hope this gets funded.

Hello everyone,
First of all thanks your comments and support. About the shipping price yes you are right its even higher then we wrote it cause DHL is unfortunately to expensive we will pay the rest with our profits. In two decks or higher rewards it makes more sense cause you have more tiers with one shipping cost.
About the foil issue the prices of Cartamundi are not cheap the price for a deck would be to much expensive additional we was to much focused on the art work. We hope you will see how much time we spent for each card and all designs.
Thank you for understanding.
I hope that we will get funded cause my mom and wife they worked really hard on this….

Re: Printed by CARTAMUNDI: Live on Kickstarter Talenrot Playing Cards & 3D Pop-Up Art Book
I know this is my paranoia talking, but this project seems just too, I dunno, perfect? Creator is always answering questions which is great, but it just seems like it's too big for a first project from an unknown creator. Besides the deck which I think is beautiful, there are shirts, large posters / prints, a Kickstarter edition, a pop-up book, a personalized limited edition, a customized shirt and if that isn't all enough, there are also NFTs which I consider to be a straight up scam.
Kinda starting to feel like either the creator is taking on too much and the Kickstarter will be heavily delayed, or (and I stress this is just my paranoia) a scam that's too good to be true. Also the creator is constantly in the comments asking random stuff like what's your favorite card, and if the trailer is "dope or nope". I'm still in because even if it is a scam, its only 1 deck, but I'm kinda just getting some bad vibes here (I should add this is all my personal opinion and I'm not trying to slander the creator. I really am pulling for the project to be a success)

I'm still in because even if it is a scam, its only 1 deck, but I'm kinda just getting some bad vibes here (I should add this is all my personal opinion and I'm not trying to slander the creator. I really am pulling for the project to be a success)

Re: Printed by CARTAMUNDI: Live on Kickstarter Talenrot Playing Cards & 3D Pop-Up Art Book
it is kind of funny when you become used to a certain level of interaction that too much seems like a bad thing. like when your kids or SO come up and are being really really super nice, "ok, what do you want?" lol.

Hi Thank you for your feedback. You can visit Cartamundis official social media account they shared our project. We had minimum 50 e-mails with Cartamundi. We are now also in touch with one of the biggest wholesale in USA. They asked us for a offer.bdawg923 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 4:15 pm I know this is my paranoia talking, but this project seems just too, I dunno, perfect? Creator is always answering questions which is great, but it just seems like it's too big for a first project from an unknown creator. Besides the deck which I think is beautiful, there are shirts, large posters / prints, a Kickstarter edition, a pop-up book, a personalized limited edition, a customized shirt and if that isn't all enough, there are also NFTs which I consider to be a straight up scam.

We are trying to give our best as possible. There will be nothing delayed cause we are in touch with our producers since 1 year. They will make for us the production in low quanties. Even if you want you can visit our Kickstarter campaign. We have now produced a limited edition embossed tuck box. Hope you will like it.
We can totally understand your feeling. But as we sad we will do everything on time. And we are based in Germany its not easy in Germany to be a scam project. The longest production will Cartamundis production it takes approx 2 months. Rest is not hard as you think.
By all respect we know Kickstarter since ten years. Before we start this campaign we make a lot of feasibility studies to present our project best as possible.
If you have any questions about our project we are always for you
*Your message makes us really sad cause we are still spending hours on that project. We are sleeping so late cause of the different times between Germany and USA to answer the community. We make official agreements with DHL and Deutsche post. We tried to make this project unique as possible with customized products. We spent really a lot of time. It was not easy to get in touch with all producers for low quantities for the boxes and T-Shirts all of this producers has supported us. If you want we can also make facetime or teams meeting we can show you our prototypes and answer you all of your questions.
Thanks for your understanding.
