The courts are juuust subtle enough to be not over-the-top but still likely elicit some funny looks from my kids' friends at school. These are going to be stocking stuffers for my kids this Christmas.
I wanted to grab the foiled decks but somehow missed them. I don't think they were available when the standards were first released, and by the time I got the notice that they were available, they were already sold out. Oh, well.
Edit: GILDED. I wanted to grab the GILDED decks. Not foiled decks. Sigh.

If 2500 decks are sold out this quickly, perhaps it's time to update the standard printing runs to more sustainable ones.
They were released on Oct 5, and sold out on Oct 23. Pretty reasonable timeframe, I think?

The Gilded ones sold out in about 5 hours.
Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware of the release date, so that's a bit longer than I thought. From a business standpoint that seems pretty ideal to me, so I wouldn't expect a business to expand that since it would probably infer a lot of extra costs in terms of storage.
But the general impression I get here is that these perhaps weren't marketed that well, since several people (collectors, no less) actually missed them in that 18 day timeframe.
If they sold out in that time seems like they must have been marketing ok, no. I mean I missed out as well but that happens. Can't really blame them on this one, not like the 52+J debacle.

Absolutely, I wasn't trying to place blame, just finding out what happened and the factors involved.
Perhaps some of us just rely too much on this forum and too little on other avenues of information, for our deck news. So since it wasn't posted here, some missed out. I know I'm guilty of this, anyway
The decks (both versions) were promoted on our Penguin Magic and Penguin Cards IG accounts multiple times, and email blasts were sent to our subscribers.
An article was posted on Kardify, posts were made in multiple FB groups, I appeared on Deckin’ Around ahead of launch to promote the deck, etc.
If anyone is even a little interested in keeping tabs on the Penguin deck releases, the earliest & most thorough info will be to follow @penguincards on Instagram.

Well then, I'm out of ideas. Chalk it up to incompetence on our part?

Sucks for those of us not on social media, aka me.

Same. Irks me even more knowing they were up for sale for so long and I was totally oblivious to it.

Sorry, looking back my comment was a bit snarky and wasn't intended to be. I do like this deck and I wish I had picked up a couple.
These are available from PlayingCardDecks site and they have some on eBay as well - pretty close to original penguin price depending on how you slice it…

Turns out I have have a short memory. These were talked about earlier this year: https://unitedcardists.com/viewtopic.ph ... 34#p198234
I'm glad I was able to order these from PCD because I think they're way better than the AoP version. Penguin has been KILLING it lately! Now if only they can get their website updated as promised.

Second that! This deck and that AoP exclusive deck makes great companion for the fans of Stephen King.
As well, talk bout all those juicy foils, and the famous Hicks Hexagon!

I got half a brick f the normal ones.
Might be able to spread the love once they finally get through customs. (Netherlands)
The postal service in Holland managed to lose the package.
Sadly penguin has no backups so it’s a total loss on the decks. They refunded my money so they handled it fine.
Sadly no decks for anyone. And the total decks is now 2494.
Was browsing the site and noticed these are back in stock at Penguin Magic. Go get em whilst you can! My order has already shipped (btw how cool are the boxing up videos?)
