Hello everyone, we are Fede and Lene (FRIS Cards) and we are about to launch a campaign about fantasy playing cards with elves.

Fede has been collecting cards since he was a kid and also bought recent decks for many years now, to study what's out there. At some point a few years ago he had the chance and luck of meeting Gio of Thirdway Industries. Gio was super nice and explained how he does his decks and how to start a project with Kickstarter. With his help and advice we have worked for around a year on the idea of a deck of fantasy playing cards about Elves.

Our promo message is as follow, and hopefully you'll like and support our project :)

If you like Elves, Fantasy, RPG and Playing Cards, this project is for you! ♥️♣️♦️♠️
It's a fabulous deck with 52 custom playing cards, and would be printed by USPCC on Premium Bee Stock.

KICKSTARTER has approved our project and we will go live on October 18th at 18:00 CET.

Sign up for notifications to get updated and don't miss this wonderful deck !

We would also like to add that if you like cosplay and rpg games you'll have some fun as we have filmed something that will be revealed the day of the launch.

Ok. Firstly, I too am a Gio superfan. So we have that in common. I like the look of this so far. The art is really vibrant and the style fits well with the fantasy theme. Excited to see more.

Gotta say, the artwork is really nice, love the courts, but the back seems weak compared to how good the faces look, IMHO. However the KS launch timing really sucks. I would have backed it if it was released in the 1st half of the year.

It's like everyone decided that Oct is their launch date for their decks. I had to cancel a number of KS pledges and stopped myself from getting Penguin's 237 deck at their discounted rate, even with free worldwide shipping.

And it's not over yet with Lotrek about to launch the pre-order for his NOG deck. 1 look at that deck, you know it's NOT going to be cheap!

So all the best with your project and hope it funds. Your first deck shows more talent than many of other KS projects this year.

Hello again everyone!

We wanted to let you all know that we worked a lot on the playing cards and we will re-launch sometimes before the middle of the year for sure. We decided to redo the tuck box, which was a bit too fantasy and not really in the usual elaborate and liked style of decks by more famous creators and so, we focused our attention to that.

We also decided to revise a bit the pips and made them more standard under numbers/letter so to have cards that are more playable and usable for magic. Regarding the back we have decided to keep the darker version of the three and it definetely looks great when we saw it on our prototype deck made by MPC. The project will be still printed by USPCC playing cards and delivered by the Gambler's Warehouse, but for a prototype we went to MPC as timing was essential. We got it on Xmas and were happy to see it finally made to physical.

We won't reveal yet the new tuck box design as it's not finished but we aimed to something more elaborate and less hand-drawn, entirely made in vectorial and shining as we could. We still don't know if making it in black with shining green or gold metallic foil on it, but we'll decide pretty soon.

I want to show instead some of the changes to the courts, numbers and aces here below so that you can let us know, if you wanted, what do you think of them :).

The next thing we are trying to do is to promote them properly, and we have reached some deals with some video reviewers that will receive protytpes for their review and unboxings before we launch the campaign. It was a disaster to launch in October, we recognise that now.

Sorry about the visible die cut lines, those will not be on the final cards :D , mistake on both our and MPC side who did not check properly the files..

In these photos below you can see the change from the version we had before to the new one, left is the old one, right is the new final version we made.

In these months we spoke with many collectors, creators and designers and are trying our absolute best to have a professional product, which will handle good for cardistry and magic and be beautiful for whoever likes to collect beautifully illustrated decks. We kept in mind handling and premium card quality, handling and the collectable factor.

And if you like the project, please check us out on instagram too: @friscards , we will update here with launch date but we post updates there too :)

Hope you guys will love it as much as we do!
