Something to get excited about during this weekend. I don't think I'll get the gilded versions..

well, something for some to get excited for i guess. never cared for nocs. never got the appeal. never got the hype. never will i purchase a deck. just another set of decks to add to their line up of plain colored rectangle no effort decks. your mileage may vary.

Kudos for being able to make easy money. Would be funny if someone had the balls to simply drop the whole catalogue of foils from Kurz in one campaign.

Don't give Alex anymore ideas! For all you know, he's probably already planned to do this and he's already picked out the best foil variant for each color!

As a savvy businessman, he'll test the market to see just how well received are the latest 3 variants before planning for the next release.
So looking at all the different colored NOCs he's released, we'll probably get at least the foil versions of these. Then he'll look at Jerry's, Cherry for more inspiration. I just hope he doesn't go the way of Fontaines with 2-3 different variants of the same color or worse, think, I can beat Zach at his own game!

Classic Riffle Shuffle campaign:
First, set off the normal editions
Then, halfway through, releases the gilded KS EXCLUSIVE decks

I hate to say this, but I have to back this v2 as I never seen the V1 hits the wholemarket, except for eBay, a place where I try to avoid because now I sense it filled with more people on cracks than before.
And besides, the good side of NOC Luxury is that is printed by Cartamundi, so no of that off-centered drama with USPCC. [I have NOC Diner and NOC Beach Bar, both have a very poor alignment of the center - so damn frustrating]

My hopes for the V2 is that every courts have foil instead of only one edition has foil while the rests are metallic ink.
And for this time, the seal is numbered... Hmm, not sure if I feel that is necessary or not - the number does blocking over the cool vintage initials for NOC

I reluctantly joined the last campaign. When the decks came in I was happy I backed them. But there's not enough here to make me pledge this time around.

I think there was something cool about the original colors and I happily backed for all of them, but this really takes away from that. Now it seems like they're doing their typical million color versions, but now SHINY! Not to mention this is probably another 7 deck campaign and I just don't have the patience for that.

I don't know wtf I pledged for, I don't even want to look yet. After I got done, the funding was about half or more within 2 minutes.

Yeah we got the three standards now.
But “stretchgoals” are coming. So three gilded versions and maybe a gold foil one to really hype it out.

I have to say, as KS campaigns go , this round is quite good . Most are just offering more bling, but his bundles are quite the value for money. If you're really into Alex's magic tutorials, or just want to start getting into card magic; then this is worthwhile for you as he gives a 5 hr basic card magic course. I've seen some of his free YT tutorials and he's good. Casual, light and easy to pick up with good angles.

How many cardistry and magician decks will even give you a tutorial of their special moves or even moves which aren't found easily on YT? Only a rare few for sure.

Interestingly, this time he's even including a livestream with him and Edo on how to start making your own playing cards if you're really into this. I like the part in the trailer, towards the end, where he pokes fun on how little design time his decks require.

So with this, he brings more people into the magic hobby and maybe card designing, while making $ and building his brand.

So his birthday bundle is pretty much a brick tier with the 3 previous noc luxury decks added to it. The first campaign went very well and delivered shortly than expected.

Well, hopefully this creates more interest in NOCs so I can sell my v1s,v2s and v3s for a decent price

I looked on ebay and not too many people are selling them which is good. There'll always be future collectors.

Real problem is if the first three get gilded versions and then this fourth color gets one too lol then this is 9 decks

To keep everything consistent, there should be a gilded aqua marine deck.

I wonder what the next color is going to be? Purple?

It seems that ton of people had a problem with the add-ons. I got mine.

Riffle shuffle decided the best way to annoy backers of their previous project is to send them weekly spam about this new project and how they're hitting all their funding goals and more. Really makes me regret ever backing them. I hate spam and this "marketing" is scummy garbage. Piss off riffle shuffle. If I cared about your new project, I would've backed it

I actually just dropped my pledge. For me the initial attraction was the shiny and completion for last year's campaign. But, I think I have hit the stage in collecting that many do. You start zeroing in on what you really like, artist/brands you want to follow, and the kind of collection you want. Realize that this hobby can get insanely expensive if you don't check yourself and you have a bunch of decks that you wouldn't have bought knowing what you now do.

I feel like this campaign is representative of the hype merry-go-round in overdrive and I need finally step off. I don't begrudge the deck designers for optimizing their business models and striking while the iron is hot and the buyers are there. But, as has been said before, this era feels so much like comics in the late 80s/early 90's. I still have my polybagged, Rob Liefeld signed X-Force #1, all 5 variants with the certificate of authencity - I know of what I speak.

I didn't go for the gilded trio at all. I'm fine with all of the normal versions.

Im dropping my pledge near the end of the campaign. I want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

And the best way Riffle Shuffle annoys you: gilding EVERY decks they produce, no matter what the design is. This, and a few others, are what makes gilding is WAY SO overrated: basically a tool to leech easy money from hardcore collectors

Just noticed there's still two more "stretch goals" for this campaign and if those are decks this is out of control lol like there's already 8 decks in this so far with the three colors, then the three colors gilded, the holo and the aqua.. Like where do they draw the line? Lol

I don't own any NOCs so when this came along, I really liked the blue color and as pledging just one deck does not guarantee what you want, I decided to get all 3 via the EB tier. After seeing the aquamarine color and now these gilding I'm done with this campaign and already dropped my pledge. Didn't want to wait till the end. Never getting a NOC.

But about the upcoming NOGs.... I'm gonna be in

There'll be another deck released this friday. It was teased on IG. Looks like a multi colored deck, maybe a rainbow gilding or foil.
