seems like there are many folks out there that like the whole mystery deck thing. i am not one of them. just seems like a way to sell the lower priced decks at a higher price.

That's exactly what it is. The total value of [the few rare decks available plus the buttload of cheap ones] is way less than [price of mystery deck times total amount of mystery decks], guaranteed.

But hey, if the demand is there, I say let the gambling addicts have 'em.

These were a ton of fun last year and I went back for more like three times... This year they were sold out within like 30 minutes

crazy I had seen the email but was running around this morning looks this evening and gone very disappointed in myself I do enjoy these cause my kids love the suprise like an early Christmas lol. also the box I wanted the most but missed that too I was able to get the summer bundle but what can you do lol Dec will be the next one

Picked up three bricks of these, first 20 arrived today - these were the decks thus far…

(A crazy quantity for sure, but I wanted to get a feeling for what the mix was for future mystery releases, and I am a bit crazy )

Frankly this quantity was embarrassingly large for me to post, but as a public service I decided to own up

So has anyone looked under the “void if removed” label yet, or am I going to have to pop one of these open and rip it off?

Someone on reddit got a Memento Mori in one of these If anyone here ends up with an extra.......

Took a peek on ebay to see what unreasonable prices might be - was a bit surprised - knew these were a bit pricy, but hadn't guessed they were moving at over a hundred.

Will have to think long and hard about cracking one open to look under the "void if removed" label...

As for letting one go, would rather let one go for a reasonable trade than a reasonable price

Most current listings trying to make those selling prices look like bargains

I have looked under the "Void if Removed" seal. Literally nothing. Stands out as one of the significant disappointments in my lifetime.

That is disappointing, but I am quite grateful you spared me from finding out firsthand, or going to my grave still wondering

Purchased 10 at 10:23am, 10 at 10:32am, 16 at 11:11am - so available close to an hour at least this year

Not sure, just going by my email receipts for the times (from art of play and paypal, so I think times are correct) - I did just come across the mystery packs by accident, hadn’t seen the release notice, so perhaps they were up before the release time - or perhaps some orders cancelled and freed some up at the end…. Perhaps both…

It seems the Makers Private Reserve from the Summer Mystery packs are NOT gilded (corrected after some pain and suffering)

Gilded not yet released…

I got excited about this and opened the one I got from the Summer Mystery decks. No gilding for me.

Now we have a puzzle on our hands - will have to reach out to madaboutcards and see if there is any way to distinguish the gilded…

Sent a private message on instagram, awaiting response (asked if any way to tell from tuck or seal if gilded, let him know that yours was not)…

Strangely, I see the Buck twins liked his post on the gilding, but made no comment as to not all of them being gilded…

My Maker's Private Reserve doesn't appear to be gilded either (same weight). From the original post about them I took it as they were a separate release.

This is the one I saw. As seen below, it is refuted later - mystery packs are NOT gilded

Just weighed mine - very sensitive scale - four decks weights are 100.07,100.30,100.32, 100.51 - an exercise that was fruitless as posts above and below describe - none gilded

Seems he made another comment refuting that the mystery decks were gilded, and that they were in fact a new release (not yet available):
