Feels kind of silly they have four different gilded colors, but I at least appreciate they're all there from the start and not adding a new one each week

I don't mind the gilding, since the tucks are the same I can just skip all four versions and not feel like I'm missing out

i have a question in on the campaign but that tuck picture may be a bit misleading. when this was posted here, i thought the tuck looked like it was full foil pretty much. however, the campaign page does not mention any foil and says it is red, yellow and metallic green. if that is the case, that render is pretty messed up.
edit: well they answered fast. the cards have the metallic green ink and on the tuck the red is the foil. their description on the campaign page is not the best.

I'm kinda hoping this isn't a trend that takes off: doing multiple limited-run gilded variants per deck. I just dropped all of them from my pledge when I saw the second round come out. Nope. Interesting tuck, so maybe I'll just pick up a standard to check it out.

They do the same gilding for the standard version; not upping the number of the AoP fractal gilded version.

I got a 2 standard decks 1 of each. All that gilding can just go away. It’s just not special. Not like this anyway

i have never understood the whole limited hype BS. especially during a KS when they have not been made yet. it is obvious they do it to make money but are they not just limiting that? you make a limited run of 52 decks at whatever amount and sell out in 30 seconds and piss people off or you sell 4 times the amount at a lower price and make more money and you aren't pissing people off and causing collectors to miss out. all this does is drive up the secondary market which the original producer doesn't make anything on anyway.

I think in this instance we're assuming they're only driven by revenues and profits, when in reality they're probably after branding more than anything. Scarcity for luxury items typically breeds prestige, even greater demand, and brand recognition. It's not as black and white as this. Like Piazza perfectly put it's about branding. Even if you piss of people, a minimum of the same amount of people will be attracted (not in all cases but then you know you've pushed it to far). As quoted so often, "There is no such thing as bad publicity". Branding helps you to gain a long term profit instead of inflating your brand. Piazza and Harvon, good points and i agree. it sucks that these practices are becoming common outside of the hype brands.
