Card Collector in Portland
Hey guys,
I've been following the topics here for a couple of months now, and finally decided to jump in.
I am a card collector in Portland, Oregon. I don't do magic or card manipulation, but i do play a lot of poker.
Poker we play with Bicycle prestige plastic cards, so my collection sits unused and appreciated mostly by me.
I'm a carpenter as well, and i have grand but as yet unrealized schemes to someday build a custom poker table that displays my favorite card from my favorite decks.
i'm mostly interested in custom courts or fully custom decks, and the artwork is what draws me in.
There is a 6000 piece puzzle that Piatnik makes that features a whole bunch of their custom court cards, and my wife and i put it together a few years ago, sparking my interest in non-standard decks.
I started mostly looking on ebay, but have lately become a total Kickstarter addict. I came across this site as the best way to keep abreast of new deck releases, since the KS system of search results doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I've stuck around because i find all your expertise and opinions interesting, even though i care nothing about handling, or thin borders!
I probably have around 300 decks, since i have only been collecting avidly for about a year.
Cheers!
Marcel

Welcome, and nice collection! Lots of neat decks in that table, but I have to say the die-cut Speed Racer was the first to catch my eye lol.

I'm sure we all have family members that don't quite "get" our hobbies...
I have a few decks there in my collection given to me as gifts that i just don't have the heart to get rid of.
