"Late this summer, we’re going to introduce a new Club 808-exclusive deck. As you can see from the images above, we’re still working on finalizing the back design. This deck is based on a historic design that we pulled out of the archives, and we’re updating it for the modern age.

There’s just one thing keeping us from sending it to print: we don’t have a name yet.

That’s where you come in. Study the photo above and then suggest a deck name on your entry form. You can submit up to 3 names. If we like what you thought up, we’ll use your deck name—and send you a brick of the decks when we print them.

Please note: If more than one person suggests the same name, and we decide on that name, we will use the entry of the person who submitted first.

Unlike our previous contests, you have just TWO WEEKS to submit your suggestion.

The Rules:

1. You can submit up to 3 names for this deck. Keep the name family-friendly.

2. Submit your names by June 15, 11:59PM EST. The winner will be notified the following day, and the winning deck name will be revealed when we release the deck.

I suggested a few. Including "The Stag & Barrel" and "12 Point Keg", but they never notified me so...
"Stout" would be a good name. Nice and simple, with several meanings.

My first reaction to today's news release, "Really? Amber Stag? WTF? There weren't any better suggestions?" followed by, "Why the F can't I buy the deck yet? Damn."

I do like the back design, but I wonder who they have in management there making some of these decisions in Kentucky.

"The Amber Stag Deck is the result of an updated historic plate in our archive and a contest Club 808 hosted for its members: to name the deck. Club 808 showed off the in-progress artwork and gave members the chance to suggest a name for the deck, and we chose member Steven D.'s suggestion of "Amber Stag."

The tuck is embossed with metallic gold leaf accents, while the inside of the tuck is a shimmering pearlescent shade of cream. The court cards are accented in shining gold and brown, and as a further historic tribute, one of the Jokers is a Best Bower.

This is a Limited Edition deck that is available exclusively to Club 808 Members. The seal on the top of the tuck is a Club 808 seal showing the production quantity of 5,000 decks.

Maximum of 24 decks per member.

These are packaged in bricks of 6. If you purchase 6 decks you will receive it in an unopened brick. If you order 24 you will receive an unopened case containing 4 unopened bricks."

I was wrong, i actually like this deck, it screams vintage, from the court faces to the ace with the banner on top. But i really dont like the amber stag at the bottom of the tuck, looks bad imo.

Pity this is going to be limited again. Any idea if the cigar deck is out of print yet?

Agree. Everything looks fantastic and beautiful except the stag. Looks rather goofy. Specially with the 808 on his neck. Looks like a rapper's bling chain.
