On August 05 I will be launching my first kickstarter campaign, the Trust no Fella playing cards.

The concept is based on old cartoons, the cuphead video game and Alice in wonderland.

Here is a snippet of the story I created for this project.

The 4 different armies of the playing cards kingdom came into conflict after a little cheeky devil arrived to cause conflict

After recommendations from this forum, i modified the project to include a more simple campaign.

Here are some updated pictures.

I am planning on a special gilded version of the deck with a different tuck box as a stretch goal.

I hope you can support my project this friday. I am also very open to feedback, i want to make the best campaign possible.

I'll never grasp that fixation on limits. Just print 1/1 with MPC then 🤷🏿‍♀️. Super duper uber rare limited - super awesome (I'd assume).
The good quality stock and finish from MPC is linked to a minimum order, too. So you might wanna stick to the more demanded (by some collectors) printers from a sales perspective. Legends and Hansonchien are good alternatives to USPCC/Cartamundi (qualitywise) if you wanna keep the production costs lower. Be aware that according to your location import fees can/will apply if you print overseas.

Designwise a nice project. Personally I'd want to see the colours being more Cuphead than Steamboat Willie.

Kind of a cool design, but I too don't see a point in "super limited"

Thanks for the feedback

I get it that to serious collectors, super duper uber rare limited editions may not be attractive.

I just want to make the deck as valuable as possible for the backers.
I come from a hype brand environment, most of my regular clients like limited edition drops of art pieces or shirts that i make for them, i naturally thought that i may be able to do the same here, but now i get that its going to need to be bigger.

No problem, i will adapt my campaign so it can be a proper project.

I might create a unique special edition that can fill that hype brand part of my customers and some collectors.

Your illustration style is really quite neat. I like it.

I *love* your attitude about wanting to build the best possible deck (and project) you can. I love the fact that you take feedback seriously. Remember, of course, some of the feedback you get here may be contradictory, or may test your commitment to your vision; even if/when you decide to keep things the way you have them, the fact that you seriously consider the opinions being offered is a breath of fresh air.

Best of success to you on this project!

Thank you. I believe that a designer needs to be able to consider the opinions of others into his work.

My project is now live! I hope i can get some support and feedback from the users of this forum.

Hello

I am right now at 20% in my kickstarter campaign! I am very happy about that number ;)

To help convince more backers, i added a limited edition shirt and deck combo and the first stretch goal.
I get that the stretch goal is a little out of reach right now, but im confident that current and potential backers would like to add a Gilded Limited edition of this deck to their collection.

Here are some pictures, i hope you like them and thank you for the replies and good luck messages.
