I'm really looking forward to this. This type of subject isn't normally my style, but I think Tony and his collaborator(s) have done an excellent job with these.

Tony has went to great lengths to create and design and sweat over this deck. Definitely gonna be there for this first project of our UK-based fellow!

Wait, who's Tony? Is he a UC member? Either way I'm all over this.

As you wish... This is one of the decks, the other being the Horsemen Collectors edition.

With my mother dying and the lead artist suffering badly from Covid, its been an emotional ride. In fact Maria is still suffering. Feel free to give her some love on instagram @mariaschatten. I will try to get her to comment over here, although as I say, she really is still quite unwell.

But you and Matti, Bacon, Timmargh, Duc, Chuck and many others have been very kind with both your help and support. So thank you all.

I’m so sorry to hear that Maria is still suffering. I was really hoping she would’ve won that fight by now, but sadly not. Hopefully it will be nothing but a memory by the time the Horsemen campaign launches, so she can fully enjoy the tremendous success that is sure to come. Our deepest condolences on the loss of your warrior mum. Your incredibly hard work on this project through such painful and difficult circumstances is truly inspiring, and a testament to her memory.
It has been a pleasure and an honor to watch you and Maria create this phenomenal deck and the other items associated with it—thank you for sharing.

This looks fantastic. Just a terrific theme for a deck of playing cards. Just the right amount of detail. Striking a great balance between cartoon and realism. Indices I like less, but the iconography is just perfect.

I'm worried about the negative space on certain cards. I finally received my Infinitum rewards from Ben @ Elephant and the cards' borders are so much bigger than I remember, the cards look half-empty. Some of these look like they might suffer the same fate, I'm not sure.

I'm 60/40 in favor on this one. Love the artwork, scared of possible oversized borders.

Thanks for the kind words. Regarding the border size, I think its a little bit of an optical illusion that they look bigger then they are. I found the deck you referred too and threw together a quick comparison render. Hopefully this will quash your fears. My frame reach's as far as that decks indices. With a lot of the artwork leaching outside of that frame.

So are we 70/30 now?

Definitely 80/20

I really like the font used in the comparison picture above MUCH more than the font in the OP. The jack, queen & king (J, Q & K) all look the same at first glance making it hard to play games with. Hopefully this new font is a keeper.

Its from the collectors version of the deck. Nobody has mentioned having an issue with the other font before. It's never too late to change.

Don't change it just cuz of me. It's just the first thing I noticed. It's actually a nice font, just similar letters.

I would love it if a few of the UC playing card family could take a look at our first KS campaign before closing it with Kickstarter ready for launch on the 1st June.

Please be as harsh as you like. As KS virgins, any advice is appreciated.
Thanks for your help...

There are two things that I notice. First is the title. I'm not sure if you plan on changing it upon launch but I think it should be called more than just, "Horsemen." Add more words for more pings like, "Horemen Playing Card Deck & Collector's Edition - Printed by Cartimundi" or something like that.
The second thing is the picture of what i presume to be the backs between the "Stretch Goals" and "Addons" sections- it looks out of place there. Maybe put it between the two decks? Or split it into 2 pictures and make them the last picture of each series of renders.

Everything else looks great to me and I'll be there at launch! $33 for both decks seems good to me, hoping for low shipping prices...

It might seem redundant, but I would write short concise captions for every picture, just so everyone is sure to know what they're looking at.

You could also add some dividers to make things more clear. Ex: Now it goes <pic of Horseman deck tuck> <Info text on Horsemen deck> <pic of Horsemen deck courts> followed by <pic of Horsemen Collectors tuck> with no caption. Visually dividing the sections for each deck might prevent confusion.

There doesn't seem to be any mention of the intended print run or if these will be available after the campaign. Also, there aren't any early bird and/or limited pledge tiers which are often a good way to get the campaign off to a strong start. I concur that the image of the card backs seems out of place. Furthermore, it would be a bit clearer if the main heading for each deck was placed above the tuck renders rather than below.

You varied up the weathering on the cards! Thank you!!!

Please put the card backs with each deck section and not side by side. Leads to my confusion too.

You think an option for split brick but with 5 Horsemen + 5 Collector + 4 Minis would be great?
Also that goal seem to be well set considering all the features you are putting into this deck (Gilded Minis?? What?), i am quite surprised it isn't higher.

You're just lucky Pierre is MIA  With all the other KS's going on right now these seem a little pricy but I still backed to support a fellow UC member 8-)

Keep in mind I calculate shipping into cost (fairly or unfairly). But at the end of the day I still backed them. So if I thought they were overpriced, I wouldn't have pledged. Just a little pricy.
