Isn't it the number of their genral releases? Like first Databend was their sixth overall release and this one is the eigth?

They are, best as can be described, a “brand” - some shirts and sweatpants, some decks and a lot of branding

Databend Four Playing Cards
Our Databend decks are created by manipulating images with an audio editor. We convert images into sound waves, alter these sound waves with various audio effects, then convert them back into an image. This process results in random distortions and colours. The images used to create Databend Four featured blurry trees and heavy shadows.
