Fields Dissapearing

Im not sure if this is a bug or not but it seems prevalent enough to mention:
When I go to edit a deck to add the card scan info and then save the addition, there is a 50/50 chance that it will require me to fill out information like the creator, deck size or other information. I dont mind doing this, however these are fields that im not even clicking into, and it seems that if these are required then how could the entry have been made to begin with?
