Is that Moresque as in more of my money escapes to Greece?

My wallet groans. I have Eye of the Ocean to deal with soon.

Did you think Lotrek's prices were... Grotesk?

Well, get ready for them to get MORE grotesque!

Moresque. Your wallet doesn't stand a chance.

Side effects may include Empty Wallet Syndrome (EWS), financial despair, improved taste in playing card design and general snobbishness towards non-owners of Lotrek decks. This is not intended as a complaint or sleight towards Lotrek, I enjoy his products and understand the rationale behind his pricing. Ask your doctor/interior decorator/financial advisor to see if Moresque is right for you!

I do love when Lotrek gets cheeky with his posts. No way this is real, but I would totally pick one up if it were :ugdance:

Or even any behind-the-scenes pictures or information not posted for the public on Instagram? I thought that was kind of the main point of being a Patron aside from the decks.

Blatant Arabesque rip-off, too. Shame on Lotrék 😜.

Not quite.
Lotrek wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:31 am ... Patreon isn't a way to get decks through monthly installments -although you can see it like this.
Primarily it's a contribution to help the making of exquisite stuff that needs a lot of time in planning, researching and designing. In return, you're getting exclusive stuff but what really counts is that you will see decks that without your help would be very difficult -or impossible- to bring into life.
That said, if you feel that $25 or $45 per month is too much, you can just select the $5 tier which is really nothing but if we collect many nothings they become something and this is equally appreciated!
Furthermore Lotrék mentioned multiple times that he isn't very fond on sharing wip and or behind the scenes.

Not not quite. He suggested that there wouldn't be a lot of content, not that there wouldn't be any, and he has, in fact, shared some behind-the-scenes content already for other projects. I don't think it's totally unreasonable to hope for a bit of content every couple of months, even a first glance at something that's going to be posted on Instagram in any case. Sharing it with Patrons first wouldn't require much extra effort.

I didn't say there won't be any but for me it was pretty clear what to expect from Lotrék and his patreon before I joined 🤷🏿‍♀️.
What's a first glance anyways but yet another illusion of exclusivity? A stroke for the ego to be something special?
But maybe that's just how I look at it 😃.

Unique content would, of course, be better, but a first glance at something destined to be public would at least be throwing us a bone. Not to mention, that's all the basic "Patron" tier gets. Even if it's just about getting the decks, some mention of a Patron pre-sale for a big new project might also be nice.

Unique content is the special deck(s) I get. Mileage of course may vary, but everything else is not of interest for me and I rather have my artist focusing on the pursuit of his art/craft than being disrupted by pleasing unnecessary needs. That's what I would define is the spirit of being a patr(e)on.

Putting unnecessary quotes aside since I could find plenty more on the other side as well, I see that Lotrek has posted an update with the very things I was suggesting, so I guess that settles that.

Dear Lotrek is toying with you. There's a Patreon presale this week: Patrons get a 99.1% discount. Actual price €32 shipped (so I bought 2)

Well I guess playing cards are usually under the Toys and Games category anyway.

Hey Lotrek,

Can you give us an idea of the price for the player's edition?

Also, Will the Player's and Patreon editions be shipped together if both are purchased?

The price will be similar to the Patrons edition and yes, the decks will be shipped together.

Sounds to me as this is the same version offered to Patreons but now also available to the public.

Seems this is a different version ?
