War in Heaven Deck 2021

Hello Cardists,

We have been working on a deck of cards inspired by the War in Heaven, the Book of Revelation describes a war in heaven between angels led by the Archangel Michael against those led by "the dragon", identified as the devil or Satan, who will be defeated and thrown down to the earth. The concept of War in Heaven deck is to have equal ranks of Angels and demons or devils from their hierarchy in each suite. So for example the Seraphim Cherubim Thrones is matched with the Trinity of Evil (Beelzebub, Lucifer, and Astaroth). We have been making this poker deck for quite some time. We are planning to release it this year but would really love inputs on it to know where we lack and what is missing.

That's great artwork! Like truly impressing.

Only thing I would change is to scale the courts just a little bit bigger so that they would fill the cards a little bit more.

+1 for Roope's comment. Cards are small and your illustrations are very detailed. Don't make'em too small.

Very nice. The corner pips could be larger as well. The rectangular background in its current state takes away from the image in my opinion.

Thanks! That would really mean a lot! we are really trying to finalise it. We saw issues with manufacturing companies these days so we are trying to make sure that the artwork can show well enough!

These are just amazing. Congratulations. The detail is amazing. Is it deliberate that the background behind the court card characters heads is like a creamy grey paper colour rather than white? On the black version, it is solid black everywhere in the background. It is a very minor point and still looks amazing anyway but I think personally I'd prefer it solid white background to match the black

Well noted! I guess it can make a better contrast.

I agree with Tom, making more of a contrast between the faces and background would make these perfect. Really looking forward to backing these. I think you have done an amazing job. Any news on the printer yet? I know you were thinking of going the Noir route but I honestly think you would get more funding going elsewhere.

We are using EPCC and currently we do have deal with them. Really appreciate the support!
