Legends is making a massive comeback recently it seems, and it's definitely a great sign.

I wish they would celebrate that comeback with great designs, too...
Besides the multi-coloured version of their Legends deck all their in-house releases were meh at best.

The Blues and Copper Foils were available when they released the decks earlier this week and are already sold out

I'd much prefer the blue to the yellow but after reading the write-up on this new stock and finish, I'm interested to get a few. I might also pick up the 2021 Year of the Ox deck simply because I am an ox.

That's because they've just start producing playing cards out of a new factory. I interviewed their owner Lawrence Sullivan about this, and wrote up an article about it here:
A New Factory and a New Benchmark from LPCC and EPCC

Apparently, I was wrong. There were some blues available initially, but they sold out, though apparently more will be available in the near future. Also, the Copper Foils haven’t been released yet, but will be soon, hopefully. Apologies for the mistake.

I've been keeping an eye on the Copper Foil decks since reading about them here and today I noticed they're available...

They've now released the latest Copperhead in a new colour, Very Peri v.4, as seen here:

Super new colour. It's not like it's almost blue like the first Copperhead.

Good point. I guess they picked it because Veri Peri is the official
Pantone color of 2022.
The colours may have been off in the previous picture. Here's a comparison picture I just took of those two side-by side (Blue v1 versus Very Peri v4). I've also included a slab of the Pantone colour of the year, to help ensure I got the colour balance of the tuck box correct in the photo.

I have the previous decks, not going for the peri - but for those not overstocked on these decks they are on sale at Legends - 4 bucks for the yellows, 5 bucks for all the others (no copper singles left) - half brick set with strippers is 28

How do you feel they handle? I'm not too fond of the Viper finish I have to say.

I like them - but everyone has their own criteria

I like trying different card stocks, and quite like the Viper Finish.
Cons: Out of the box they don't faro quite as smoothly as a USPCC deck, but over time they faro better. Initially the edges almost feel "sharp" when flourishing the cards in cuts and similar moves, but as the cards get broken in this goes away becomes a non-issue. The cards also seem to have a bit of shine on them, although I don't mind it.
Pros: I find them very flexible and soft, just like crushed stock. Much more so than the Taiwan produced decks. As a result they feel pleasant to work with, especially with flourishes like dribbles and springs. If anything they don't quite hold their shape as well as I'd like. They spread fine out of the box, and a V2 deck I've been using for a while still spreads reasonably well.

That would be the summary of my verdict. I like how the pattern of the finish looks but for my liking cards are too soft.

My experience is that they fan very poorly and even though most decks will get clumpy over time I always find decks that can't fan very well from the beginning to be disappointing. LPCC's classic finish feels a lot better to me.

Yup. Classic finish > Viper finish.

Ditto.
I spent yesterday flourishing a deck with LPCC's new Viper Finish, and today a deck with LPCC's new Classic Finish, both from the same factory. I also have a preference for the Classic finish.
Which other decks have been produced so far with the Viper Finish? One that I know of is the
Tsunami deck, which is from magician and TikTok star _inmagic_.
Edit: I've been using the Tsunami Deck for card flourishing over the past few days, and it's been holding up quite well. I think that the handling of the Viper Finish card-stock is starting to grow on me.

New color: 2023 Viva Magenta
A vintage take on the classic and beloved Copperhead deck featuring all new artwork on the tuck, stamp seals, Ace of Spades and Jokers and a rework of the card back, produced on high quality Viper Finish.
Looks like it's a collaboration with Alex Haines from
Imported Playing Cards, which I really like and also used Viper Finish, so I'm excited to see these.
