I quite like some of these illustrations. Some of the ones shown remind me of things printed in the 50's and 60's, that style of thing. It's the card back combined with the price these are what keep me from backering this game/deck. The card back is just bad. They should have left it on the tuck box or whatever it'll come in and let the card back actually be a card back. It becomes a non-starter for me because I can't move past it.
