In his latest Wednesday Weekly Update Jackson shared a peak at the upcoming Mistborn deck that he is going to release.
For now he plans to release it directly, no kickstarter. The card design may be subject of change since he mentioned it is a first conceptional peak.

as a HUGE Mistborn/Way of Kings fan. I Cant wait for this! I love that Jackson loves these properties as well and isn't doing them as cash grabs but more for the love of the material. That makes the decks so much more. On a side note, He should try reaching out to Pokemon company and seeing if he can get the rights to create a true Pokemon deck. You could use holo foil for the holo cards and you could also do like one shiny version of a Pokemon in each deck. like a shiny greninja or charzard and it would be super rare to get. Man I would be all over that

He also showed a drawing of Vin (the main character in Mistborn) on one of his recent YouTube Lives. It looked so cool.

As an aside, he mentioned at the same time that he thought making a Mistborn deck would be easier than a Way of Kings deck because it had more female characters for the Queens. I don't get this because other than Vin (and I guess this female Steel Inquisitor), I can't think of any other female characters. There are definitely way more in the Stormlight Archive.

I need it.

So excited for this deck! One of my favorite book series and bringing it to the playing card community is going to be amazing! I know Jackson is working on a deadline with this one, but I have no doubt his work will be beautiful and really do justice to the series.

In today's Afternoon Delight, we got to see the SWEET Mistborn prototypes! They look good! (A screenshot from the YouTube vid. Not clear but wanted to share this)

I saw that video a little late. If you go to the end of the video, you can get a preview of these cards. i agree the deck does look very nice.

This deck looks great! And if your a fan of fantasy and haven't read Mistborn and the followup Wax and Wayne, do yourself a favor and pick them up. Those are fun reads!

Holy crap that's good stuff. Four different foils. I wish the characters were in color (or that there was a non-foiled version with colored art also), but the metallic foils fit the Mistborn themes perfectly. Can't wait for this!

If I had to guess based on other projects, this is just one foil with some having printing over it to make different colors. Think of mylar with printing over it and you kind of get the idea.

Still pretty cool to me.

1x Standard Edition
1x Gilded Edition
1x Standard Brick w/ Brick Box

(I could be wrong about the specific tiers. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Gilded Edition is in a Book Box like his other recent decks.

Quick question if anyone knows. I’m getting ready to get these and a few others. The kings wild website says I qualify for free shipping then charges me 31 dollars at checkout. Is it because I’m European? Or am I making a mistake somewhere.

Free shipping is only for US customers with a spend over $50. International gets no break.

Then I will go for 7 decks. Ya know minimize the damage with maximum destruction of my wallet

Anyone have any idea how long the pre-order is open for? Don't see the need to put in a pre-order if one is just going for the std version only. And it's only due out in Spring 2022.

Basing it on the statement on the site:
"The final production run for these items has not been made yet. Once the pre-order phase is over, Kings Wild Project will then produce the first run of officially licensed Mistborn playing cards. The number of decks and other items we produce will be determined by the number pre-ordered."

I saw on IG that another artist, Gregory Titus did the artwork for this. I've not been following JR's Dawn's Early Light, but I did see JR actually draw one of the courts and talk about the Joker designs. So who did the art? Did JR just do the final touches from the Gregory concept art or was there more behind this?

It was @gregorytitus on Instagram. He will be releasing more artwork in the next couple of days as the pre-order goes on, so be sure to give him a follow! As a huge fan of Sanderson, I think Gregory did a phenomenal job on this and he deserves so much love for it. It would seem KWP is taking a production role for this one as Jackson has so much on his plate with LotR and EVERYTHING else he is doing.
