$75 for a tuck swap and a numbered seal?
Interesting business choice.

Yay, I am now an elite friend of someone! Who am I a friend of again?...
To be fair, $75 is cheaper than a hooker, or so I heard. Plus you get to keep it forever, unlike a live hooker, or so I heard...

The objective stoic in me congratulates Pure Imagination Studios to their success. Smart move.

The rest shakes his head...

Not the sort of thing I'd personally collect (I mostly just focus on marked decks and vintage stuff these days) but more power to them for selling the entire run basically instantly. Cherry is definitely a brand with a strong following.

The deck was sold out on the pure imagination site, but there are several places selling and this one has over 270 left. Very strange.

At $25 or $30 I would say these are ok. But at $75, I’ll pass. I don’t think there are 500 collectors waiting for this deck to complete their series.

I agree with you, but I'd call it all in at $20 USD myself. I don't see five hundred folks shelling out this many clams either.
Does look shnazzy but pictures are good enough in this case.

Just to put some more perspective to it. Gio's Order Electus, which is already on the steep side, is $55 and you get luxurious tuck box stock, embossing, foiling, fully custom artwork, metallic inks...

I have seriously no clue how they justify the $75 (or $45 wholsesale) for a reprint with standard courts, luxurious tuck box stock and a custom seal (which some folks even dislike). Maybe the name of the studio gives us a hint...
let's read at the buttom... ah, there... it says "Pure Imagination ..." now it all makes sense ✌🏿😌.

Honestly, at first glance I liked this deck a lot.

However, I’ve tried and failed to find any reason it should cost any more than any other new Cherry deck. PURE EXPLOITATION PROJECTS

Nah. Murphy's doesn't know when they get their share it's still up for grabs. Will somehow managed to get them earlier. Must have been directly from Pure Imagination. He still has more than 200 in stock at his site.

It's available all over the place and I think it will continue to be even though a lot of folks do like it. It's just, come on in a regular environment it's $pen$ive and this world we live in is the pandemic world of corona virus. Price matters more than limited availability and likely will for a bit yet.

I'm sure some folks, there are always some, dropped their month budget on the sparkle tuck. To those folks, wonderful! You got yourself a true treasure and I'm overjoyed for you. There's no hate here, I've done it (with other cherries) and smiled all the while. Cherries make folks do things they wouldn't normally do.

Well everyone has a right to make money and PIC has found the same formula as other companies that do tuck swaps ad infinitum. Im not into these types of decks. So I wont be buying, but the color is nice. Thats all I've got.

Hype is real and hype is evil. No shame falling for it. I won’t call it a huge mistake so soon though. I am one of those guys shaking my head when Tesla was at $400, calling the buyers crazy. You know what’s crazy? It all happened in 2020!
Is Tesla a hype stock? I think so, but that doesn’t stop it from going to $1600...

Yup, I was in the same boat...put my order in without thinking about price. However, I got this a few days later:
These decks sold out far quicker than we anticipated and I am sorry to say that we oversold by a handful of decks. Therefore, we will not be able to send you yours. I feel awful because I know just how this feels. Especially since the deck was limited edition.

So, here are two solutions I can offer you:

1. I can offer you a $100 store credit, or a full refund, if you prefer.

2. When the next limited edition Cherry Deck comes out, I am happy to save one for you.
I was mad but then relieved afterwards. Plus, I just turned $75 into $100...

Sucks that happened but not a bad way to handle the problem IMO. That's good customer service. If you still want one they are still here as of this post: https://playingcarddecks.com/products/c ... ards-uspcc

Supposedly almost 200 in stock... :?:
