Simple and clean design

The Aces are quite nice actually. And there is some custom elements in the courts although they are mostly standard which sucks... And that mirrored logo over a single color has been done a million times over... It has been old for like 6 years now.
These kinds of "clean, simple decks" don't serve any purpose really... They don't appeal to collectors for the lack of artwork. They don't appeal to cardists either as the design does not stand out on flourishes. And they don't appeal to magicians as they can't beat an 808 Rider Back that costs 2-3 bucks a deck. And for those that want a simple custom deck for game nights, they'll just buy one of the countless of other similar decks that have been released already.

While I don't do magic myself, I know quite a lot of magicians that like and prefer simple backs like fontaines, Ace Fulton's, Madison Rounders and their alike. They don't like back designs like riderbacks or monarchs. Everyone has her/his preference and aesthetic feel.
When it comes to cardistry, simple back designs actually serve a purpose - exposing your actual skill. When you have nothing to distract or hide you can only let your moves speak for you. It's funny when non-cardists think that a cardistry deck has to be flashy and/or somekind of extravagant to be great for cardistry.
