So my wife has been working on some ideas for the last year or so. She has never done this before, but was inspired by my card collecting. I asked if I could post 3 of her "cards" on here to see what some rough opinions would be on continuing this idea. She has all of the court card ideas roughed out and her 4 aces, but here's what I can share today.

She also has a great idea for a tuck that would cool if we can pull it off, but what kind of thoughts do you have for this kind of design?

This is VERY rough and colors / angles / etc can all still be adjusted. The cards here are the ideas for an Ace of Diamonds, the Card Back, and 2 jokers in Diptych fashion.

Index is missing for the Ace, still working on ideas for that. Possible border for back of card still being worked on too.

That diptych joker already intrigues me. If I'm not mistaken the writings are just watermarks to protect the pictures. So, no need to tell you to remove them.
What I assume to be the back design (2nd picture) needs more details like e.g. a nice border. For the middle circle you might wanna keep in mind that same prefer true two-way designs. I don't care if it looks awesome and if it is important for the design then I would even advocate for one-way designs.
Ace of Diamonds looks cool aswell. Promesing draft for sure. Now I'm curious about the courts. Fingers crossed for fully custom .

Those patterns are fantastic and I love where this is headed. I will echo @Harvonsgard and say there needs to be a bit more detail on the card back and it's very exciting to hear you plan on custom courts. Will this be poker-sized? I know these are just drafts but the dimensions look more like a bridge or tarot deck. Just curious.

I always appreciate innovative tuck ideas, but I would recommend keeping it simple for a first-time project. If this is planned as a Kickstarter campaign, perhaps a crazy tuck feature could be a stretch goal, but I would prefer a well-executed simplified tuck (with embossing, of course ) if it means the difference between funding or not. Just my two cents. Regardless, this is a very intriguing project, for sure! Thanks for sharing this one.
