[saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
Hello, I'm sharing a few pics of my Copags made in Brazil, most of them are bridge size, only 4 of them are poker size and they are made of plastic (the 310 decks are made in Belgium). I'll post also a few pics of details and how they can be divided, hope you enjoy.

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
Nice collection. I also collect Copag along with Kem, but not the single packs. I have all of the ones provided as a set, as well as a couple hundred sets of 1546's for live play. Copag makes a nice quality card for actual play.

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
The plastic sets are high-quality decks (i also use a 1546 set for play).
unfortunately, the single bridge size decks are all paper and don't handle very well, but they are ok for play.
I think Cartamundi should upgrade the Brazilian factory, I mean, it's a Brazilian brand, and currently, the best Cartamundi decks are Copag branded, but made in Belgium.

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
Now, some details, the first one, the 139, the most classic Copag design, just like bicycles, the traditionals are blue and red, but they have color variations as well.
Last year they did an event in Brazil named "Dia do Baralho"(playing card day), and to all participants, they gave a pair of 139 decks with a replica of the original tuck box

Now, the 157, came a little after the 139, is a little thinner (275g while the 139 is a 290g paper) and Copag says that it's preferred by magicians because it's more flexible (but not really, they act like they are the only brand out there, and the truth is that Brazilian magicians also use Bicycle decks), but is a nice classic design.

Baralho literário - Literary deck
Was made exclusively for a book club members (but a friend of mine that is a member gave me his deck).
The court cards and the jokers are famous Brazilian writers, it's one of my favorites

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
The Pinguim deck.
A personal favorite tuck box, originally was made by Sociedade Impressora Caxiense (from the south of Brazil), that was one of the main competitors of COPAG in the '80s, was bought by Copag that continued to produce the deck. Apparently in the south of Brazil, they are still one of the most popular decks (maybe that's why they kept producing these).

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
The Spanish suits
In Argentina, Uruguay and south of Brazil truco is a popular game played using the Spanish decks, so Copag made the Gauderio deck, with Spanish suits especially for truco that features drawings of the southern culture in the cards. The spanish deck is a regular deck with spanish suits
Note: in the rest of brazil they also play truco, but with standard decks (they just take a few cards out of the deck).

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
Finally, the 4 Poker size decks, all made of PVC plastic
The one that is not a Texas Hold em deck is a The Godfather deck, came with a Bluray collection box, a friend of mine got the box and gave me the deck.
Any questions or if you wanna know some translation of something written let me know.

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
Two updates, Now all six Rio Olympics decks and both Mickey and Looney tunes vintage set. (I have two decks of the yellow version of the Rio Olympics, decided to open one of them, they are made of a really cheap paper, the worst I've ever seen by Copag, reminds me of those BCG that are Bee's copies)

Re: [saul riffel] Brazilian COPAGs
New updates (DUNGA, BRAILLE, Dia do Baralho 2020, and Cansei de Ser Gato)
COPAG DUNGA
Not sure about the history behind this one, but I remember seeing it when I was a kid, when Copag updated their logo, they also changed the classic tuck box to this one.
COPAG 139 BRAILLE
The classic 139 that I already showed before, but now with low vision suits and a braille system for the blind people, the tuck box is way thicker than the regular ones because of the braille dots.
COPAG Dia do Baralho 2020
I did post this one when it was released with pics of the entire deck, but since I'm using this post to record all Brazilian Copag's I own, I'm putting this one here as well, the deck was made as a giveaway gift to those who bought any deck during the "Playing Card Day", invented by copag in honor of deck 139, then it is celebrated on September 13.
Cansei de Ser Gato
Custom made to a cat specialized store, Cansei de ser Gato (Tired of being a cat) is a fun deck with cats in every card, and of course, the court is also composed by cats.
The thing about this one that got me surprised is how good the cards are, this is the first Brazilian copag with a real good paper stock, finish, and coating. I believe the new copags probably have the same quality, the deck handles very well. For those that don't mind using bridge size cards, I think I can finally recommend Brazilian Copag decks. I'll let you know when I open a standard 139 to see if they have the same quality.
