Great White North, Represent!

Unread post by PiazzaDelivery »

Hi everyone,

My name is Justin, I'm a 28-year old student/delivery driver from Montreal, Quebec and I've been in love with magic for as long as I can remember, specifically card magic. I'm the kind who is more interested in the mechanics of and mastering sleights than performing for an audience. I do it for myself. I prefer to learn from books, and so I rarely if ever use YouTube or other Internet resources to learn. I like to drill 1 or 2 moves until I can, to my standards, execute them perfectly every time. I'm concentrating mostly on my Classic Pass at the moment.

About 6 month ago, I fell upon Theory11's website and discovered the world of custom playing cards, into which I dove headfirst. I'm relatively new to collecting and my collection reflects this, but what little I know is that I can't seem to get enough of the designs of Kevin Cantrell, Stockholm 17, and my absolute favorite, Lotrek. To my eyes, these three have an unparalleled knack for applying elegance, modernity and luxury to classic playing card motifs. My favorite deck at the moment is T11 and Kevin Cantrell's Citizens.

To be perfectly frank, I originally came here to vote for the DOTY awards and/or enter the giveaway contest, but I'm very glad to have found this community of like-minded individuals. None of the friends in my circle have much if any interest in cards or magic, and so I look forward to participating in this forum.

See you out there,

PiazzaDelivery

Welcome at UC.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.
