Found these locally for a few bucks a piece. Figured I'd grab them. I don't expect they are anything special and know nothing about them other than a pic here and there online. The Dorsets are both sealed with the tax stamp so I don't have pictures of the contents inside. If anyone knows anything (even if it's I wasted my money) please feel free to let me know. Thanks

I don't know much about any of these, although I can see that they look like they are bridge-sized and one set (with the birds on the backs) might be from Congress, maybe? Still, you've got several fascinating finds here. Interesting to see what the hive mind comes up with by way of identifying them.

Rouselle you might be right about the birds decks being Congress. The box looks very close to correct

Hey, you can start dating the cards by looking at the tax stamp. Here are a few sites that show the tax stamps and once you find a match, you can see the range of years that stamp was used and there is your date for your deck.

For pricing, I usually start on eBay and Etsy. You can find similar cards in quality and manufacturer to get a general idea of how much they may be worth. If you get no results, then the fun begins.

Cool finds. I'm not educated enough on American vintage stuff, so I can't help with info, but definetly not wasted money.

All the other images of Haddon Hall boxes I can find have a couple of differences, like an "E.E. Fairchild" printer's logo down below where yours says "gilt edges." Does yours have a mark elsewhere on the box? Also, the printing of "Haddon Hall" is done in blue, and yours looks like it's in black. I'd say yours looks better, really, compared to the one here. The typography looks identical, though.

There's more information about the company here, and if you come up with an "All-Fair" name or logo you might be better able to date it. Fun fact from this link: Herman Fisher, later of Fisher-Price, worked for this company.

The "value" of something's ultimately just what you feel it has. Even if this box dates to much later than the 1930s or 40s, it's still very likely to be at least 60 years old. I think it's neat. Haven't tried looking up the other ones, yet, but the Lord Baltimores probably have a fun story, as well.
