Starry Night - deck in development

Unread post by Fud »

Hi Everyone,

2020 is going to be a massive year for EPC, and I am stacking the production schedule now to ensure that we are well stocked with launches throughout the year.

I have one design that I am loving but want to get an opinion on the court card styles; could you take a look at the below image and tell me which style you prefer (left or right)? I can remove the background for the left hand side too. The center image is the card back.

Thanks!

Me aswell, but I’m pretty split. The back is very nice. I like it a lot. Has potential to become my first EPC deck.
You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that’s being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world.

I also quite like the back, but not feeling either of the courts. I like the more fantastical idea of the right but not the loose cartoony style, if it had more detail and cleaner lines it would be perfect. With a back-like pattern behind it as in the left, but on white rather than black. Just my thoughts anyway, I reckon there's a lot of potential for this one.

Awesome feedback, thanks!

How about this as an alternate style (middle one):

From the first set much prefer the left king but don't like the background.

I like the style of the middle king from the second set, but still prefer the left king.

I like the design on the left - the one that currently has the dark background. But I think the background and face/hands being about the same colour means the character doesn't stand out. Maybe if the face etc stayed darker and the background was a couple of shades lighter? The middle card on the second image is also nice, but I do think a dark background would look good. Just that the King himself needs to stand out more.
Thanks
