Usually a deck is very time consuming to design. But what would happen if I was to set a strict time limit in design? Would that work towards making fast decisions?

The idea is to design and produce a deck of playing cards in just a few days. Like a play with time.

Third day: Taking the final shape. Now it will be left to rest for a couple of days while I'll be working on the pips. There is a general plan: 5 days work for the back, 4 days for the courts, 2 days for the pips, 2 days for the tuck case. Let's see...

Day 10: Yesterday I started working on the final files for the courts. Decisions regarding style are made on the way and will be applied to all courts at the end. I have completed 4 courts so far. Here is the King of Clubs.

I was not joking... It started as a play but within 12 days from the first rough sketches, the deck is already printed! Yesterday I came back home with a couple of sample sheets. Next week comes the foiling. Hopefully, I will have this deck with me in the 52+Joker Convention in October. Fingers crossed!

Will this only be sold at the convention? Pretty fun to watch this design evolve over the last couple of weeks

The back design looks a whole lot like Aristo Steampunk deck that was just recently fulfilled from a Kickstarter campaign. The front courts and pips are totally different.

I'm quite sure Lotrek would never do that to us! Will likely come up for sale on his site a few weeks later after he's returned to Greece, like the Blue Damask.

The back design reminds me of the Timeless deck, so guess this could somewhat be thought of as a V2? :ugdance:

Edit:
Damn, that was a frightening error there.... redacted!

Actually, Yes. I asked Lotrek the same thing on FB, and this was his reply.

"Timeless is a deck I particularily love. It is always on my mind so yes, Timeless inspired but different"

Looks like the same stock that was used for Less is used for Chronos aswell. I would love that.

By the way, punishment for not knowing that Timeless was done by Lotrek is sending a Lotrek deck of your choice directly to me within the next 24h!

Especially since I wrote a long post recently talking about his first 2 deck Timeless and Butterfly

Geez No one read around here

We read short angry posts. Long technical posts loose our attention....What was I talking about?

I went back to see if Decknowledgy had reply to that thread and maybe suffered from Alzheimer... He posted just before my post but 4 pages later after that so he gets the benefit of the doubt hehehehe

I know that it's one of the "L's" that did it but forgot whether it was Lotrek or Lorenzo, and I mistakenly stated Lorenzo in my post above

Glad I slipped past Pierre's prosecution, but speaking of sending a Lotrek's deck to Harvonsgard, Timeless is still available at rsvp magic for extremely cheap, but to compensate on my mistake, I shouldn't be sending to you but instead send a deck of Timeless back to Lotrek (and make a wish that he foil-prints it with five colors and send it back to me 10 yrs later  )

Glad you are giving Lotrek a couple of weeks (converting real time into Lotrek time). No worries. I’ll pick up the error decks.

Oops! I just saw this thread... Thanks for posting, hsbc.

Yes, CHRONOS is actually a rip off of my TIMELESS deck.
I guess all decks that have gears and clockwork are somewhat similar but I've become allergic to the word "Steampunk" although I once liked it.

Anyway, this was an experiment: Go from scratch to finished in only a few days and I'm quite happy with the result.
I'm not sure if I will present the deck in the Convention. The plan is to have some decks with me but they will be available to all. I'll give more details in my newsletter.

No joke, I considered that name, too! But I needed something more generic.

Well, everybody’s creative process is different... What Lotrek lacks in procrastination, he more than compensates in his perfectionist nature when it comes to timely deliveries.[emoji4]

No offence to both - Lotrek and Alexey are among my favourite card designers.

Time is possibly my favorite theme of life - ever. I have an MtG "Time Control" deck (Blue/U being my favorite color...). Love the Timeless deck by Lotrek, and really looking forward to an improvement/sequel from him.

One thing he doesn't lack is procrastination, he has it in abundance. Might be a new deck theme in there. Not for me though.

I'm definitely in when they're released. But am I the only one who noticed the implication of 'collector's edition'? Will this be another deck with a player's edition campaign? I really like the Ambassadors player's editions so I'm all for that!
