Interesting, but $10 to send a single deck internationally? No dice.
I am so sick of kickstarters trying to rip international customers off. The add-on is already way too much, and that's not even considering that US shipping is included.

Yeah and i find it odd that they put up a website on their little video and on the homepage and it doesn't even work or has not been launched

Months were spent on creating a design that many would find different then all others. Although at first it may seem like a simple design, but right away you will notice that its very hard not to look at. There are a lot of small details within the design that will catch people off guard. At the very first glimpse even people who don't know much about playing cards or just not big fans of them, will change their mind.
That sold me!
New lips, redder reds, got gold!

I don't like when decks have white borders on one side and black on the other. Not clean.

Very obvious one way back - not subtle, it's almost a mirror of the top and bottom half
UPDATE:
Hello Kickstarter!!! over the past 2 days, we have gotten 3 repeated suggestions to improve on some thing with these cards. One of the biggest suggestion were to add white borders! Today between 2pm ET and 4pm ET we will put a survey up on this page for every one to see and reply to so please check up on the update area between those time or even after. The survey will include adding the white borders as well as a few other things that people have requested. After the survey is counted on SATURDAY March 16TH at 10PM, FIRO Playing Cards will make the improvements and repost new images to the site. Furthermore a new survey will be put for the improved cards to see if any further improvements need to be made. So Once again Thank you so much for being backers of Firo playing cards and lets make these improvements and bring these cards to life!!

Is it just me, or does the Joker design not really jive with the rest of the deck?

Hello to everyone!! Its very shocking to see people have such strong opinions, even Sean Whelan the person I backed even before my project was released!! Playing cards are not so easy to design, it takes a lot of time and dedication. In the end not everyone will like everythig, but thats the risk we take when we make them. This deck just happend to be more of a elegant deck. Its not your elusionist deck to perform magic with, but when you do decide to perform its a very eye catching one that makes regular people think as to getting into buying cards too. Which in turn helps to promote new magicians to come one board or just card colectors. We posted many updates, and the cards you see now were chosen by the people who backed the project. So there is not much I can input into that. As far as the website we had some dificulties getting it going, but now its up, and right now its more designed as a galery rather then a store. Another thing is, starting a new venture is never an easy task, considering that we all have lives outside of work. So this is our first deck, and some mistakes will be made, but with time as we make 2, 3 or 10 more deck, we will learn how to perfect our skills and bring better and more inovating designs! As far as shipping goes and international costumers, its post office to blame! they have raised their prices through the roof for international shipping, and this is not us trying to make a dollar of people. We are struggling to make our decks funded, so we dont want to add any more unnecessary fees!! On top of the shipping consider the packaging, its between 60 cents to 1.40 to package things which adds up to a good sum of money in the end! Once you calculate all that, we use the highest material and the metallic paint with pearl coating on the tuck, which is extra charge that we included into our goal. So we do ask everyone to understand the struggle and maybe give a chance to new guys on kickstarter, because everyones contribution matters!

@Firoplayingcards: I appreciate you coming here to comment, but I'm pretty sure it does not cost $10 to ship a single deck internationally (unless you value the "handling" part of your "shipping and handling" very highly). It would be great if someone who actually ships decks can back me up with some numbers here.
Also, while I do like the border ornaments on the faces, I can see them being a problem if the cards are printed off-center even just slightly.

The actually cost to ship 1 deck, in a bubble pouch inside of a bubble envelope, which would weigh 5 ounces, is $11.48 + another $.30 for the envelope, pouch, label etc.
Thanks!

Really? I was sure I had read something recently about shipping 2 decks was $5.70 or something like that. Guess I/they were wrong then. And international buyers are in for some bad times

Thank you to BM poker world! for posting those number. Those are actual and right on. The packaging is not cheap, nor is shipping and if you want your cards to get to you without any damage, we have to buy the best bubble wraps to ship them out. Also if you buy more than one deck, the package price goes up as well.
PS, our name has changed to Vict playing cards! and our website now is

Thank you

Not USPCC now? Sorry, wish you luck but I don't think you're going to get the 15K to get USPCC and many people won't back without it.

Wake me when you hit $15k.
Myself, and many others here, just aren't going to pledge for anything other than USPCC... or maybe at least a top brand name in cards (eg Fournier, Modiano etc). After the several recent promised 'high quality' KS disasters, your local printer just don't cut it. Sorry.

Well although we would love to go with USPCC, the minimum they ask for is very high. So we had to try the next best company that offered great quality stock, but asked for lower minimum quantity. I hope you can see where a new creator stands. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and we will try our best to come up with an irresistible design that will surely bring in the 15k! Being that we are new, there will be some challenges along the way, so we do ask people to support us and help us grown to be better and better. Thank you !!
PS. The double posting I do apologies for, I didn't see that there was a second page so I thought I did something wrong. Rookie mistakes

Just out of curiosity, what IS the "next best company"?

Well we did our research and found TMcards offering great quality cards and a minimum of 100 decks.

I find this statement a bit curious. Could you explain what research you did? Also I don't understand if you think the quality is good, then why would you go with USPCC if you hit $15,000? Any information your provide will be helpful to people trying to determine why you are using these cards other than price.
Thanks!

Well, we saw previous e cards made by TMcards and few other companies, and read reviews online. TM cards had some good reviews and also makeplayingcards.com, but being that TMcards is in US based, and makeplayingcards.com is in China, we decided to go with TMcards. Also the only reason why we would go with USPCC is because that's what sells aperantly. To be honest with you guys, sometimes other card manufacturing companies have great quality cards, and if they prove that through their product, I believe then people should give a chance to help them succeed. I'm fairly new to the playing card world, but its shocking that people are so into name brands. If the cards are great quality and they handle good, then why is everyone so hostile? If anyone could answer that would be great.
Also, I don't believe people should be upset with the creator, I put both options to people and it truly not up to me how this plays out. If I had the money to pay for the cards, I would give people exactly what they wanted, but unfortunately that's why I'm on kickstarter. Kickstarter defenition is to try and help people kickstarter something so down the road they can offer better. Ive spent almost $800 out of my pocket to offer people something different, and before this ends i will probably be out even more money just to make my small dream a reality.
Lastly, I know everyone has the right to an opinion and preference, but all i ask you guys to do is put your self in this situation and see how you would handle it. so if anyone has ideas as how to make this better, im all ears! So with that said, I hope everyone understands the challenges creators face when they put themselves out there.
Thank you!!
Best regards
