Convince me that there's a difference between the yellow smiley with Fontaine Chinatown
Of course, the yellow smiley face has been around longer than that, but in terms of playing cards... I'll leave it here.

The horrible faces make these completely unusable imo. Custom suits are generally a killer for me.

Fun. Standard courts are generally a killer for me, I think they could have done so much better. The cheesy quotes on the cards are just too much.

These are different, take a close look at the tucks and the decks itself also changed.

Indeed different to the first versions and the Chinatown Markets. One similarity though... I'll pass on them like I did on the first set.

Oh... I pledged before I joined UC and now I see this thread. Should I be worried? Will they not deliver?

Bocopy will deliver. Just do a search of Bocopo and read the 2019 threads about their copyright infringements , along with blatantly ripping off the designs of others without credit. Then you'll find out why they're called Bocopy.

Oh, no worry their delivery ethics are good. Business practice might be another chapter though

Looked at their forums, Wow, I guess this will be my first and last decks from Bocopo.

More like so bad, you gave a hard pass on commenting how bad they are.

OMFG, THEY PRINTED WITH MPC, I WASTED MONEY. Are there even good MPC decks in existence or am I F#@$ in the A?

The 2019 NPCCD decks are MPC I think. Their The One decks aren't bad, I believe it's the same stock?

That will really depend on which
MPC stock they used. I got both The One and Chao decks, so I can give my comments. Basically, if it's the M3x stock, the cards will be good. Anything else is about what you'll expect and know about MPC cards.
The M30 stock used for their 'The One" cardistry deck and the M32 used in the Chao decks are amazing for MPC. I can do a fist fan very easily with both decks. Those 2 stocks matches EPCC and LPCC easily and can give UCPCC and Carta's basic stock a good fight.
From their website:
M30 magic quality card stock with black core (linen air light finish)
The M30 linen air light card stock was made especially for performing cardistry and magic tricks. The stock is lighter and softer making handling an absolute delight.
M32 master quality card stock with black core (linen air finish)
Our top of the range paper card stock is the M32 master quality card stock. It's similar to our M31 casino quality card stock but the card surface embossing (air pockets) are further defined which traps more air to provide an unparalleled smoothness in card handling. These cards are very durable, beautiful with top notch handling which make them MPC's top pick. This option carries a minimum order quantity of 1000 decks and will be printed on traditional offset printers with solid color output. This is perfect for people who require the absolute best in quality on playing cards and demand that their cards perform as professionally as they look. Great for Kickstarter projects, cardists and magicians.

I hope it's one of the good stock or I'll be slamming my head into a wall for backing this. I only backed because I thought to was cheesy and cute. If the quality is crap then I won't be able to gift to friends. I pretty much backed because I thought it would be a nice gift or stocking stuffer for my friends who aren't into cards. I guess I'll just suffer or look and see if they'll uphold their promise to give me a refund if they made an inferior product.

Curious to know, if your friends aren't into cards, they won't know the difference would they, if the stock's good or bad? You could at the very least gift them away to the less card savvy friends.

LOL... get your hands on Kind Time by anyone x Face Oka. It's insanely good, imo. A little bit on the greasy site though, but close to Cartamundi C9 decks (Ravn from Purple Haze on, touchcardistry Origin, Pulse, Derivé).

True but it'll leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I hope these cards will be good though from what I've read MPC has been largely disappointing. I guess I'll try my hand at these cards but I just dunno anymore.
Update
We are using MPC new M30 Linen Air Light stock and BETA finish
I guess everything will be fine then

Is this connected to this original post somehow?
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bp ... ection-set
I noticed that they are using Art of Play's MessyMod faces at least on one deck...

I don’t think they have anything to do with anybody and it reeks of scam - I dropped AOP a line regarding the messymod king
They claim to be BPCC, perhaps they are - beats me whats going on there, but it looks like they whipped up (or grabbed up) a bunch of disconnected decks and made a kickstarter out of it - just a mess to me.

Supposedly from China yet denominated in CA$, incredibly low goal for 6 decks, blind packs, rip off designs, creator name of "Gary" with first project and none backed.
Nope, no warning signs here at all.

Yeah - noticed they are in Canada not China and noted yet one more red flag…
I asked them about the king of hearts being from an existing deck via kickstarter message - their reply:
“Oh wow, you've got sharp eyes! Yep, that King of Hearts in the image is just a classic design our landing page designer is fond of and used for a bit of representation. The final King of Hearts of the YIELD has its own unique design. We're gonna show card faces in our upcoming updates. Stay tuned and thanks for catching that!”
Stinks to high heaven.

Ive heard of renders and only showing a few cards but showing cards that arent in your deck...bold strategy cotton.

Bard may not always be right, but I think I can agree with it here.
“Overall, I would advise caution when backing this Kickstarter project. It is possible that the creator is genuine and that the project will be successful, but there are enough red flags to warrant some skepticism.”
