The courts are cute, though the backs are slightly disappointing. I'm a cat person myself but these are nice looking cards for dog lovers.

However, the campaign isn't very clear on the printer, and the photos...well, they don't look like very good stock from what little I can gather from looking at them. Prices are all over the place too, $17 US + $13 shipping for a single deck, yes $30/deck shipped, though price drops to a mere $52 shipped for three (still more than $17 per deck). But free gilding as a $5000 stretch goal? Hmmm.

I want to love this deck so bad. I have a few family members who have Corgis and they are wonderful dogs. However, this deck falls short for me. First of all, $17 a deck ($30 shipped!) is too pricey for my taste. No info on the printer, though the creator did use printer-studio.com for her test runs, which may explain why the cards look flat. And why are custom pips on the low numbered cards a stretch goal? All of the artwork is done, so why not put your best foot forward and get more people interested? I am also a stickler for embossed tuck boxes, or at least not just plain, flat boxes.

I'll pass on this one but good luck to the creator. It's an adorable deck but there are too many checkboxes left empty for me.
"But why male models?"

Hey, for once something is cheaper in Australia! Although at AUD$33 shipped it’s still on the pricier end of KS’s I’m willing to back - especially since the printer will probably end up being MPC or similar (or worse). But argh it’s too darn cute; I’m in.

Aussie Corgi Playing Cards (KS)

Unread post by hsbc »

The playing cards will be printed on industry standard poker size blue core 300gsm playing card stock, with a custom printed tuck box to match.

If we exceed the Kickstarter goal, I may be able to use premium black core card stock - check the stretch goals for more on that!

I've worked with printers before for several projects, including one short run card deck. I've received two test decks from printer-studio.com, as they offer low number runs.

I have quotes from a number of printers and will select the printer based on the number of decks to be printed and the best quality they can offer for my budget. I will ensure that I receive a test print from my selected printer before signing off on the full print run.

We've just hit the $5000 stretch goal (and in just over one day?!!) - the additional volume means we'll be able to have gold edging on the cards! We also passed the $4000 stretch goal to increase the card stock quality to premium 310gsm black core cards!

Definitely would be more interested even with someone like MPC printing these... plus it's about $30 including shipping to the US for one deck :( Great art though!!

Excited about the stretch goals for extra puppy art - despite the other flaws of the deck
