I don't mind the backs and the tuck at all. It's a nice, clean design. At $10, shipped, it's a good value for a USPCC deck. However, the non-courts are a let down and the luxury edition is a more saturated copy of the standard deck with an upgraded tuck sleeve thing. At the very least, it's a lot better than the Wolfram garbage. This campaign also feels more like an advertisement for the designer considering half of the campaign is about Mike.
It started out well, but turned to "meh" for me. I have to agree with macstrat.
There isn't really enough interest here for me to bit. BUT, assuming this is a cardistry deck and that it would be good for that, I think it is one of the better ones to come out.
I can see some time put into the colors and design on this deck.
Not for me but it appears nice for what it appears to be.

The basic deck is very bland but at $5/deck they have at least priced them sensibly. I would have a lot less negative things to say about boring "cardistry" decks like this if they were all $5.
The luxury deck makes me want to kick the people responsible in the nuts. Pay premium deck price for the same bland deck with no extra features - except basic shading that should have been on the regular deck. Oh yeah, and yet another damn novelty tuck. Absolutely insulting to the consumer, just unzipping to piss all over you.

I mean, that's kind of a good thing for some people... I'm sure there's an appropriate R. Kelly reference I could insert here.
But you're right: the value lies in the standard deck at $5. The luxury deck is insulting.

Great assessment.

But the Luxury Deck is designed by Lunzi, creator of the Grace & Gentle and Sensory Decks, amazing works in their own right.

I have a soft spot for these type of designs, like Diva and Palette, so I backed a luxury edition...

So eventually I dropped my pledge for this one but was fortunate that I won their giveaway to get hold of a standard edition. I'm glad I dropped it because the artwork printing on the deck is hideous, I'm pretty sure they used digital print (? Not sure if I'm using the right term), so the edges of the artwork are rough and fuzzy. It's most evident on the Ace of Spades and the nearly vanishing "PLAYING CARDS" on the tuck box. Also the "Instagram" and "WeChat" letters on their ad card. All those fuzziness are not from my phone camera but the printing itself; you can use the sharpness of the surroundings as proof. I sure hope the luxury edition would have better printing
One saving grace though is the beautiful fan that the back design patterns produces. It's absolutely gorgeous especially when being borderless. At least this redeems it for me I guess.

That pixelation is very bad. My guess is the image they provided the printer had been re-scaled raster images, but you can’t scale raster up without losing resolution. Either an extremely bad designer being lazy, or an extremely bad print staff editing for print. Always work at a higher resolution than you need to people.
