Carte Doriche: Italian Regional Cards redesigned

Hi all!
just to spread awareness about this small project.
If you know something about european regional cards, in Italy we have a few variants and in my region I always used to play italian card games with "Piacentine", from the city of Piacenza.
I decided to re-design the deck keeping the original feeling: poses and colors.
Basically it is drawn better and with my style, more precise, with a modern touch, and with landmarks from my hometown, Ancona.
I am going to print 1000 units as pre-series at MPC (they can print fast) on 310gsm linen air, but I am aiming to work with Cartamundi again because I save a lot of $$$ in shipping and customs fees.
In theory they will be ready at the beginning of July.
This is a simple project that I made in my spare time, mostly in the weekend. 1 to 3 cards each sunday, it depends by how much work.
40 cards, +2 ad-cards. Normal tuckbox, standard, nothing fancy.
A part of those 1000 (probably 150-200) will go to my online store, the rest directly to Ancona for the local market, which is where the deck belong.
I hope you like it

cheers

Oh the back is so nice! I thought it would be mediocre as well... or was the original design like this already?

I hope you get lots of positive feedback the villagers in Ancona. It is nice that you can use your vast talents to help bring bring new life into a regional card game from where you come from. Where we come from are our roots and origins. It is important to who we are and who we will continue to be.

This thread should probably be merged with this one:

Mods, make sure to keep the title from this this thread in the merged thread, when I opened the first one Lorenzo hadn't announced the actual name of this deck yet so this thread has the correct name, the one that I opened doesn't.

Hi all!
sorry for my late replies

thank you for the feedback, as said this is a simple project. I did not know there was another thread and I took a look at that one too.
This deck is not becoming a 52 card deck poker size. It is supposed to work as it is with 40 cards to play regional card games.
I am printing a first run at MPC (1000 units) for the local market. 150 units will go to my online shop. The price will be $11 plus shipping.
The second run will be printed by Cartamundi on their B9 as usual, standard tuck.
It is not a fancy project, it is made for the local market
More news as soon as I have them
cheers

Hey, would be nice if you included rules or links to English rules on how to play some of the games with this 40 card deck. Perhaps a selection of your top 3 games?

Scopa is a GREAT game that I used to play with my grandfather. Not sure why it's not more popular in the States.

"Regional Cards ”Carte Doriche” are now available for the locals (Ancona, Italy) and at the end of July circa 150 units will be available on my webshop (link in bio) for international customers"
And from what I can read of the Italian it looks like about 800 decks are just under 10 euro, available for preorder(?) from
this Italian website
EDIT: I'm also just now realizing that this may not even answer your question

I kind of does

. Thank you. They are only available for Italien customers to pre-order atm. The 150 units of the first MPC run, which will be available for international customers, weren't for sale yet.

My decks just came in the mail. They look great. I’ll post them on eBay shortly. Extremely rare and limited private release by Stockholm 17 for only $100 (domestic shipping included).

There's this thing with Stockholm17 webshop. They don't ship to the Czech Republic. They ship to every country around us except CZ.

We are probably the only EU country where you can't order from them.
Edit: I wrote to Lorenzo and he fixed it instantly. Can't thank him enough!

Could somebody add this deck to Portfolio52? I could if needed, but the scans by my phone are never going to be as nice as the ones made by an actual scanner.

Done. What a great deck! I'm so thrilled to own a European deck that doesn't look and feel super-cheap.
