The hearts and spades are decent, and the backs aren't bad at all. But the courts are a non-presence and I don't think the clubs work.
As Blues said, at least they appear to have (kind of) tried. I'd like to see them relaunch with actual courts and a less underwhelming tuck.

I will have to pass on this one. There are some nice design elements, like the Aces, but the court cards are no bueno and the tuck box is very underwhelming. Also, I don't see the connection to a subway map. Subway maps look very much like digital circuitry to me and the design elements on this deck look more like nicely-shaped paper clips. Just *meh* for me, dawg.

I love the pips and fonts, fat and thick, but the court cards are a let-down...

Re: Tubula Playing Cards now live on Kickstarter
I like the backs, and as has been said multiple times above, there's a great start here, but the courts need to offer more before I can really get interested.
As for TwoPiece's contribution to the dialog... I don't know. While his critique arguably offers an actionable suggestion, I don't think it would actually improve the cards. At the end of the day, that's all any of us really wants, is another awesome deck of cards. I'd suggest working on the courts first. Allow me to suggest taking your ideas to the "custom deck drafting board" section of this site for more constructive feedback (viewforum.php?f=15).

There's a really great idea in here somewhere, but this deck is... not it The clubs are weird and look misshapen. If everything had more color like a real transit map with 7+ lines, then maybe we'd be getting somewhere!
