Stockholm17 is the brand from the Sweden based, Italian designer Lorenzo Gagiotti. His decks gained a high reputation since day one.
The decks combine the antique style of old European playing cards with modern style illustrations. This gives his deck a unique look that you'll recognise immediatly.
Other popular project besides his own releases are his collaborations. He teamed up with the Swedish magician Caroline Ravn to create cards for her. In April 2019, he steamrolled kickstarter (15,000 US$ - funded in 28 minutes!) with his collaboration with the card enthusiast and youtuber "The Gentleman Wake".
A deck worth mentioning regarding S17 is the infamous NetEnt deck that was designed under the supervision by Lorenzo before he created his own Stockholm17 company. NetEnt is designed by several designers and Lorenzo did only a few cards for this deck himself.

This would have helped me make my list if I knew about it lol, I was there from the start and I'm kicking myself for not getting more than one deck from Requiem or Heretic at the time, of course I couldn't afford it but still. I've also included all the variants, which it makes sense not to include in a buyer's guide because they're unobtainable (and they make Lotrek's variants look downright simple in comparison). Categorising by year doesn't look right to me, slightly confusing. Anyway, just in case anyone does want to see them:

If you are including all of those micro-issues and prototypes, there were some The Parlour Prototype decks out there that were used in the production and promotion of the campaign.
Actually, here is a shot of an Instagram post Stockholm17 had of his entire set of Heretic decks and variants. As you can see, there are even more.
Also from Stockholm17's Instagram site, he created an amazing one-off deck called "Scam Playing Cards". I'll let those interested hunt for it, but it was a one of a kind deck (actually, only the tuck as I recall) he auctioned for charity.
I am sure I am missing others.

Should Prototypes be listed?

I looking more at the variants of the Heretic deck, it was originally named Oracle. I prefer Heretic - good call Lorenzo. Also, on that first variant, it has “House of playing cards”. A theme Lorenzo brought to life with the House of the Rising Spades set. It is interesting to note how earlier ideas are used in a later series.

Better question - why is this and a few other "Buyers Guide" threads under Q&A and not in the Buyers' Guides section?

Can't create topics in that sub-forum.

We have some new Stockholm17 collectors out there. In case you missed this thread, I wanted to just depress you further if you want to get everything...
Also, there is the below 1 of 1 deck by Lorenzo that was sold in auction for charity. I forget who was the winning bidder, but had to share for the newer collectors.

Haha, yeah that was an awsome thing from Lorenzo to do.
The winner was our very own Brendt btw.

Not wishing to brag (but rest assured that's exactly what I'm doing) but it was my idea for him to do that; my reasoning was that the scammer would be getting a unique, hand-crafted Stockholm17 deck and he didn't deserve it.

Well maybe the Gran Riserva should stay? They were available in the same way that Crown 17, Red Label and Gatekeeper were.

Does anyone know how many Gran Riservas there are for Heretic and Requiem?
For Heretic, I know there are 50 each of the Lux and Noctis Salt version. I assume the same is true of the Antimony, but I don't know for sure
.
I also know there are only 6 each of the Lux and Noctis Mercury versions.
How many Sulfurs exist though?

My Noctis Suplhur is 27 / 50...
The Requiem never had the Gran Riserva Mercury, Sulphur, Salt and Antimony Levels. Just Gran Riserva and Gran Riserva Golden Backer.
This is my Requiem Winter Gran Riserva (from Portfolio52)
As you can see it says of 30
The Golden Backer is 1/1
