Looks quite nice. I normally frown upon standard and standardish courts, but yours are certainly quite unique looking.

Now that's a great example of how you can play around with the standard court designs to fit the theme. As it also supports a good cause, I'm in.

Right. I was thinking the same thing. Glad you mentioned it. That water effect would look really great using foil.

I do have to back up TwoPiece and Bradius, those courts would look great with Cartamundi's cold foil.

I'm not sure its possible to get the effect achieved here of the pip / court being under water with cold foils. Too much overlapping color / color changing / color gradients perhaps where foil calls for solid color blocks. I'm no expert though so I could be wrong obviously.

Thanks for the amazing support that you guys have given us, we are at 81%!!!

We are considering all the comments about foil on the court cards and are taking it to Cartamundi to see if its possible (we actually don't know if its possible and if its going to be too expensive) it could be a very interesting stretch goal.

I also want to comment that we have some new add ons (a close up pad and some new shirts) and are looking for some tips on what would you guys like to see as stretch goals.

We are thinking about a very cool brick box, but we are not sure if many of you would like that compared to lets say, foil on the court cards r maybe foil on the tuck box.

We also are considering to drop an add on where you can actually "adopt" and "name" an axolotl from the "La Casa de los Ajolotes" place, your pledge would be directly helping feed and take care for that one axolotl that you choose for a couple of months or even a year, we are still thinking about this one because it would need a lot of work, coordination and documentation on our part, but we would like to know if any of you would be interested on this.

We are open to suggestions :)

I can't believe I missed out on the pins! How about offering more pins :ugdance:

Also, would you consider adding some color to the back to help balance it between the faces? Maybe a second limited deck?

Sorry can't support this creator at the moment. The creator is the same as the Enigma Cards creator on KS whose last project is incomplete and unfulfilled and has had several delays with all the blame falling back on Cartamundi. Always suspicious when a creator launches a new project under a new account while a previous one is unfulfilled. I will just advise caution on this one.

Hi Jose,

We did reply to you on kickstarter, but we will post it here again, we do not take defamation lightly and we dont understand why you are doing this.

If you have any questions about this projects you could have contacted us before giving false information to our backers. We can clearly notice that you only backed this project to be able to put this one negative comment here.

We would like to be super clear on this, as we would not like to cause any more confusion to any other backers.

1. Sextante and Enigma are 2 separate companies, while Enigma did help on this project (contact with Cartamundi and some publicity), they are not handling anything related to funds. You can check our social media and main sites to check on our information and other work.

2. Enigma has been updating its own campaign with all the info on why they got delayed and delivery dates, from the beginning of their funding, ultimately those problems are related to them and their own campaign, it has no influence over our project here, so rest assured nothing wrong its happening here.

If you have any other questions regarding this problem you can contact us directly, we are very happy on how this project has evolved so far and would love to be able to help this amazing cause, but we dont want any more confusion to rise up because of this.

Thanks!

Axolotl Playing Cards Team.

Also heres past work from us at Sextante Studio, our Reino de los Muertos Playing Cards and our Mythical creatures playing cards (which YOU REVIEWED ON YOUR CHANNEL).

This project is pretty slow by KS fulfillment average... Anyways, here's an update:
We have some good news for all of you!

The cards are ready to be shipped to America!

It should take between 45 to 60 days according to Cartamundi (thats an estimate that its considering customs clearance times, but it could be more or less time), cards should leave Cartamundi's warehouse in Belgium next week and will travel by sea.

By the way, we have some pictures here that our friends at Cartamundi were kind enough to take for all of us to see.

We love how the tuck box looks! We hope everybody loves the end result, please feel free to leave any comments about the pictures, did you like them too?

And please, before getting angry at us for not posting updates more frequently, remember that this project its dealing with different time zones (Belgium/Mexico) and long waiting times for some actions to take place (we are not Cartamundi's only client), we understand that some of you are very excited and need more updates than other backers, but we cant update everytime 1 of our 600+ backers demands an update, we will try to only update when we have relevant information about the project at hand.

We are now almost at the final phase of the project, the fulfillment!

Thank you!

The tuck box is obviously not black like they advertised in the beginning, but I do like how the spot UV is looking

Baby axolotls are so cute. I did quite a bit of herping (catch and release "hunting" of reptiles and amphibians, usually done by biology nerds) when I was younger, I must have this!

without a doubt! all axolotls are super adorbs! lol

I didn't end up backing this project, but I gotta say that the customization they added to the standard courts are perfect - I love the underwater illustrations and, imho, the designs are a prime example of how to modify standards to thematically suit a deck - I'll concede that I can imagine including foil would've achieved perhaps a more striking underwater effect but these are still very well done.
And the UV on the tuck does look pretty nice

btw, I'm not sure that blaming the fact that you and your manufacture are working together in different time zones is really a valid reason/justification for slacking in updates to backers (I'm not sayin' that they are in fact slacking or whatnot... tbh, I didn't really follow the project so closely as I wasn't a backer, but it seems that there may have been presumably more than just one request by more than just one backer for an update - at least enough must have raised concern for the creator to feel so compelled to explicitly address it in this update... :? ) Anyways, my point is that nearly all designers, from all corners of the world, are working in different time zones throughout the execution of a project and the best of them are still able to keep backers in the loop and respond to comments... just sayin' :?

Motif: Be cautious while backing projects from Mexico. No discrimination intended here, but a large proportion of those KS campaigns either had delay issues or was never fulfilled, e.g. Enigma.

I did receive my Enigma deck (atleast the original black one) but it was indeed heavily delayed. Did not back the second so no comment there.
