I just received an email from 52Kards where he announces them. The second edition will be "new and improved"

From the picture posted on the 52Kards instagram, the back design will be blue.

I would imagine that these will be popular once again and any possible limited editions will increase their value like what happend with the previous campaign.

I like the LE Mint decks. I'll be on-board if they have another one.

Complete off topic, but is it just me or is 52Kards among the finest unintentional ASMR chanels on Youtube along with Bob Ross and David Bull? I have honestly used his videos to fall asleep many times in the past. I can't be alone with this right? Right?

Okay, I am new to this show. I get that the cards are marked, but what is the huge deal here?

I was like almost there with the producer pledge! When I clicked on it it said there were 12 slots still available, then when I enter my information, "I am sorry this reward is no longer available."

I'm in for a brick of each, the SE and the LE.

That is just over $300! :?

I guess that is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, but wow.

Also, as I understand it, if you want the Frost Mint deck it is $19 each with a 12 limit. That is not the same as the $156 for a brick. That would be $228 for a brick of those cards. Yikes.

Bradius, it's about $384 altogether.

I might reduce my pledge, I am not sure, yet. But, I usually try to get bulk and sell the extras. There are other users here that do the same and it has helped me fill in a lot of holes for my collection at significantly lower cost than scalpers on eBay. So, basically, I try to pay it forward. I plan to do the same once I get the Arabesque player's editions I backed for.

It's over 102K in an hour and 20 minutes.

52Kards has a very good online following and the first release raised over $125K with a little over 2100 backers. Those decks very quickly rose in value; especially the limited deck that was only offered on KS. Regardless of the marking system, the first Mint series are great decks and the price is very reasonable especially by todays standards. I'm excited for this project simply because a have a few of the first series and like them so I'm excited to include the second series to my collection. I don't know if these decks will rise in value like the first series did, but I think we are seeing this campaign getting so crazy because of the huge success of the first and nobody wants to miss out.

This is fun to watch if nothing else. I am in. I will probably get a mixed half brick with two of the $19 decks. No price breaks for the more you buy. Two are a flat $13 each and the one version for $19 each. Limited to 12 per person. Gosh, only 12.

Assuming, based on the comments section, that each backer is getting at least one LE, that means there are going to something like 2,000 "limited" editions produced. We're not even done with day one, so that might skyrocket.

It will be a limited edition of at least 5000 by the time this project is done at this rate, lol. Won't likely be as valuable or rare as the original one.

For me, these are my favorite marking system because it makes the most sense to me, hard to forget and easy to read.

Wow on it's way to 150K.... Very successful so far but I have never seen so many confused backers in my life... the comment section is going wild and there is a special guest appearance by Victor... all in all very entertaining but it is a big cluster f.....

Completely agree. Highly doubt that anyone will purchase more than a brick of the blueberry or cucumber by itself. At this rate for the kickstarter campaign the "limited editions" may be sold at the same number as the regular decks if not more.
I can't think of any high valued deck that was sold in quantities of more than say 2500. Red fontaines or white centurions is a good example within that category but look how long it took for them to reach their current value.

White Cents were limited to 1100 AFAIK.

I might end up lowering my pledge level. I still really like them, though, I just don't know if I'll be able to recoup any of the pledge amount after the campaign by selling the extras. I'm not looking to make large profit, basically just cover what I spent on them while making other collectors happy. However, there's no point in getting extras if the people who really want them will already get them.

Red Gatorback’s were a print run of 5k and they are worth 150-175 on eBay at the moment and I suspect they will continue to increase

First kickstarter I've particiapted in where I've watched the total pledge amount actually increasing in front of my eyes. Like every few seconds it goes up. I have a feeling it will go past 3,000 backers on it's first day.

Also fun to read the comments coz of the confusion about the 'free' deck pledge. I admit I also got confused, I initially calculated what I wanted then added postage then subtracted $13 ... then recalculated, added postage then later on added postage again as I got confused about the total. I think I read it several times, read the comments for clarification, recalculated several times before I "THINK" I got it

I will most likely change my pledge later on as this may end up being very oversold - I might be better off buying from an online shop later as it might get discounted heavily.

I'm going to call it now, 52Kards is now the CMON of playing card decks.

This was like the Blood Rage campaign, except those were $100 minimum pledges. $189K and almost 3,000 backers in 12 hours. Wow.
